Sweetness!  And then you can do your own Top Gear parodies!

I love this because it is so flippin' amazing but at the same time I hate it because now I want my own Dalek!

Love it! Can I use this idea for my YouTube videos? Pretty please?

Haha thank you very much! You mean the Dalek? I'm not opposed to helping anyone with videos, but he's actually too big to get out of the door without several hours of disassembling and squeezing and getting very frustrated! I'm happy to send over videos or anything though that can have him doing specific movements and be chroma-keyed or cut out into different videos. :)
Isn't it how ironic that we have to think of solutions out of the box, in order to build our boxes a lot of the time?

Just wondering if you recently had a "fracas" involving Dalek Clarkson and if so have you now sacked him?  ;D

Oh! Good one, Balders! ;D ;D ;D (I wonder how many will catch that one.)

Sadly yes, I must report there was an incident last week when, upon being told he would not be given hot sauce in his feeding tube Dalek Clarkson unleashed an unproved verbal and physical attack on a nearby Special Weapons Dalek. During this rant the SWD was told repeatedly "You're done here, you're exterminated" and upon the conclusion of this rant Dalek Clarkson then went on to shoot the SWD with his blaster, leaving the SWD with minor damage to its balls and forcing it to engage hover mode and take itself to a nearby doctor for treatment. Unfortunately this Doctor turned out to be a short-tempered northerner in a leather jacket who finished off the SWD before muttering to himself "Fantastic! So that's what I get instead of a 10th anniversary online minisode".

Dalek Clarkson, after much deliberation, was after told his commission with the Strike Team Integral Group would not be renewed and was sadly let go. His two homies, Dalek May and K9 Hammond are understood to have stuck by their friend in this difficult time and none are expected to return, leaving the Strike Team Integral Group without their 3 heaviest hitters and thus are expected to crash and burn horribly in this matter.

And on that nuetron-bombshell.....

Times are tough currently for many of us, not only is it genuinely scary, but it's also tough financially - as a self-employed worker, I have found myself with no work and no income at all.

But keep buggering on, eh? Life has a tendency to be so busy, despite best intentions we always seem to lose the hours in the day. Before yesterday, I can't remember the last time I had a full, unbroken day off, or even a chance to spend significant time away from the flat in London.

Doing a bit of reorganising and repairing in the Dalek department today, and I sincerely hope that over the coming week I'll be able to catch up on everything I've missed on the forum and get back into the swing of building :)

Hope everybody else on here is also hanging in there...

Hi Rich,

Great to hear from you, but really sorry to hear your work has bombed.
I'm in exactly the same boat. All my classes are cancelled & I suddenly have a surplus of time on my hands. :-\

On the plus side, it will be great to get some updates on your lovely Daleks :)

Stay safe,

Russell

Hey Russell,

Thanks for the welcome back, you too! Sorry to hear about all of your work, it really is a horrid feeling. Are you also planning any builds for the near future? Would love to see more!

Well,
I am hoping to get started on a K-9 build to use in my 4th Doctor cosplay thread, but I seem to have got a bit derailed.
I got some great plans from Lesplace, so I really need to get started soon.
It'll be a good way of keeping my mind off things...

Watch this space... :)

Stay safe,

Russell

Forget K-9.  You need to get to work on some Inverness capes, frilly shirts, and velvet jackets, in case Katy Manning comes back.
