Does anybody know what happened to this box after production finished on the TVM?

Rumor has it Philip Segal (the producer) keeps the hero prop at home and the stunt prop (for the motorcycle scene) was dismantled.  Also, the console was taken by one of the prop guys and was in his garage (which has been mentioned by Segal at the 1996 Visions convention).  This is, of course, 13 years old now, but I wouldn't be surprised they still had them.

The console does still exist and is stored in a prop warehouse, though I forget where exactly.

I know it's not in very good condition and is missing some sections of the controls - but it was seen as recently as six months ago.  The Police Boxes, well I've always suspected that the Producer had the main version, while the "arch" version could have been destroyed after filming, though there is a chance that it still survives also.

The console has been rebuilt by fans, I say rebuilt, they rebuilt the parts that were missing/broken.

And if you're not aware of that, 004, this has already been covered in other threads: http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=3413.msg37434#msg37434.

I spent a long time trying to track this one down a few years back. Eventually a mate got through to Phil Segal to put the question to him, and Segal said that he never owned the prop, the rumours were false, and he never had. So that was pretty much our one lead going dead ???
Isn't it how ironic that we have to think of solutions out of the box, in order to build our boxes a lot of the time?

Sorry for the 3 year delay in replying. Phil Segal was the one who said he had the TARDIS prop when he was on stage at Visions 1996 in Chicago.  I've got it on video tape, but I don't have a working VCR anymore nor a modern analog to digital converter otherwise I would dig that up and post it.  He may not have the prop anymore but doesn't want people to bug him about it now.
