Hi! I saw this post almost a year ago and I FINALLY got around to making it! XD
The PDFs were really helpful with getting the right shapes, although I did resize them a bit to fit a 5x8 sketchbook. And instead of using a slipcover, I glued the cardboard straight onto the book. Then I painted it a lighter blue with enamel and then a darker, older looking blue for a more 3d weathered look. I absolutely LOVE the end result. (^_^)

That looks awesome. Wish I'd thought of enamel as the paint, mine with spray paint has chipped and torn being carried about a bit over the years. I still think of doing another with a leather cover, but haven't had the time. Glad to help in my small way. ;)
