I'm making a line up of all new who TARDIS's and noticed the insets on the door of the 2010 prop seem squarer than on the previous (2008, 2005). I also assume they are squarer as the gap at the top is bigger than on the previous props, so that would make sense.

Now, my question is, would you guys consider this to be a perfect square? And if not, perhaps a rough idea of what the dimensions might be?

I overlaid all the windows from the side of the door sign for the fronts, and they seem to be the same dimensions.

Does that mean that the 2011 prop is a fair bit larger then? The way I've been doing things is changing the base/post/roof size and leaving the panels largely the same. But it's pretty obvious that's not the case with the 2011 prop.

The insets on those might be slightly narrower.  But all the other boxes seem to be the same.

Alright thanks. So if they're all roughly the same, is it possible the panels on the 2010+ props are taller? The gap between the windows and trim is taller from that point on.

Well, on the 2010 & later props, the chamfer edging on the insets are done differently.  On the pre-2010 boxes, the panels were assembled and then a router was used knock the corners off the insets, causing a rounded corner look on them.  On 2010 & later boxes, they actually did the chamfer first then assembled the pieces, which gave nice clean angles on the knocked off corners of the insets.  By doing it this way, the insets look narrower than the pre-2010 boxes.  Does that make sense?
