Did the angle of the raise change from 2005-2009 to 2010+ TARDIS?

I am currently in the process of building a 3D model of the 2010 TARDIS, and perhaps a scaled down IRL model will follow later on.
Since I couldn't find any 2010 plans, I started off by making a 2005 TARDIS and then following some size adjustments somebody posted regarding the 2010 TARDIS.
These adjustments involved making the corner posts an inch wider thus making the base 2 inches wider, and about 2 inches taller, with the doors being inset about an inch more.

I sent some pictures of my model around to get peoples opinions on it, and a common comment was that the base sticks out too much.
All I did was add 2 inches to the top and bottom of the base, so it still goes inwards at the same angle as reported on the plans (24.5 degrees).

My question is, since it sticking out too much is a common comment, was the angle changed on the 2010+ TARDIS?
Here are the plans I am following for the 2005 TARDIS: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bkbkaameov9rwh7/2005TARDISPlans.pdf?

And here are some pictures of my model so you can judge for yourself:

The angle would have to change because the base is wider to accommodate the wider corner posts.  The angled part of the became taller as the base was made taller too.

I guess that's where I went wrong with my model then as I added 2 inches (width) to both the top of base and the bottom therefore the angle stayed exactly the same (24.5 degrees)

DoctorWho8

Yeah, don't worry about the angle.  So long as the top of the base is the same width as the base of the box, and you have the base stick out the same amount as the 2005, you should be OK.

Thanks for help, was wondering if you knew if the 2" of added height was spread across the entire base or just the bottom bit?
I currently have the 2" added to the bottom of the base making it 5 1/8" rather than 3 1/8" and the angled bit at 1 1/4"

DoctorWho8

I think you got.  It should be added to the bottom straight section.

After looking at some construction pics, the actual base angle seems to be a lot steeper than my model, so I'm gonna have to keep messing around and see what I end up with.

Huh, so they did change the angle on the Series 8 box.  ::download pictures:::

Here's a nice 45ยบ angle shot that can help you with the angle on the base better.

Thanks, after some messing around this is what I ended up with, it's at a roughly 40 degree angle.

That feels about right to me.

Excuse me if this is obvious, but with the Capaldi TARDIS, could it be possible that they left the floor the same size as the previous Smith Box and brought the outside in? It would explain the steeper base angle and the squarer panels I've been seeing.
