I was hoping to get my TARDIS built and in the yard by now. I guess I will be waiting until Spring before I plant my TARDIS in the Yard.

If I remember rightly, his box finally succumbed to the elements a year or so ago. Canada's got harsh weather.

Oh no!!! im looking for advice on the best way to treat a box to stop that dreaded rain.This box here is fab and thought from posts it was doing well against the rain... uk has loads of it throughout the year and i dnt wan my build ruined.

Heavy caulking, fiberglass resin, and paintable rubber sealant are 3 things that people have used.

Whoa comments on my build!

As Bill said, it unfortunately succumbed, but as soon as I get my own place 2.0 WILL begin...with storage indoors. I could have kept better care by fully sealing it up and painting with a more weather resistant paint for sure. Better wood as well. Its all about the materials and the finishing.

I used tar paper (painted) on the actual roof and, when I found some rot on the "steps" of the roof (which where heavily caulked), added this stick-on plastic(?) flashing.  The flashing looks terrible because as careful as I was applying it, there are still lots of bubbles and waves to it.  The tar paper is high enough up that it really isn't noticeable.

Still, if I were doing it again, the paintable rubber is probably the way I'd go.
