Hi All

I to have recently completed a tardis build, well..where I say completed the main structure is done however I'm still missing the odd things which I'm having trouble locating.... Parisian lamp for top of light, St. John's sticker for door and the correct size door handles.

The tardis lights up etc on a timer but no sound at present. My idea is to incorporate sound effects that will also make the light flash at certain points of day eg 8am take off, noon landing, 6pm take off and finally 10pm landing. Having the idea is easy thou!! Not very good with electronics.

Like others on the site my next project(s) will be to make a dalek. K9 and cyber man So now starting to investigate and collect the items/bits I will need for these

Must say there are some great builds on here which gave me the inspiration to build mine, so thanks to you all for sharing your ideas and methods.

Richard

Richard,

That looks like a fabulous build! If you go to a company called Spoonflower's web site, you'll find the appropriate St. John logo for the Matt Smith TARDIS (here's the link to the logo's page):
http://www.spoonflower.com/walldecal/1461506

I re-created the graphic, and warmcanofcoke did the upload so Spoonflower could turn it into a decal. It only costs $5 US (not sure on shipping, but a decal shouldn't cost that much to ship). I wish I could help with the lamp, but I do know there are places to get a Parisian lamp in the UK; you just have to hunt lighting and home improvement stores to find one (unless someone here remembers the name of a few places that sell them).

Hopefully the logo is of some help, though.

Volpone

Did you paint the patio furniture to match or was that a happy coincidence?

Hi guys, thanks for comments.

Dino:- will check out that link thanks.
Volpone:- chairs and table were painted to match, just thought it would look nice.
KB:- thanks for that, not good with up loading pics etc

I Got a number of pics I took whilst building the tardis, Not sure if I should upload them because they would only be similar to other builds on here, what u think guys. And if I do should I upload here or in builds?

Thanks again

No problem, dude! (And if you're talented with a paintbrush, did you know that the Matt Smith St. John logo is actually hand-painted onto the door? It's not a decal.) Though, from what I've heard of the Spoonflower version, it's thin enough that if you carefully use a rubber roller on it once you've got it in place, it should look like it was painted on.

Well, if it deals with stages of the build, this would be the place to post them. Photos of the completed build (if you take lots of them like most people do) should go in the TARDIS Gallery. A couple of your completed build should go here to finish off your Build Diary.

I hope this was helpful.

If you still haven't found the light top, here is a bird feeder that uses a piece of the garden lantern that was used on the original prop. Just saw of the cheminet part and find a flated Christmas bowl the appropriate size for the final rige. And for the niple, some fimo or miliput sculpt shall be enought
