Something I just realized--couldn't quite put my finger on it before.  If I may be so bold, the blue bits of your TARDIS are all weathered and beat up, but the white window frames and the signage are pristine.  You might try dirtying down the window frames and signs just a bit and see how that looks.  If you aren't happy with it you can always touch up the frames and probably wipe the weathering off the signs before it dries on.

Especially the St. John's badge.  There's a big dirt/scorch mark that completely surrounds a pristine badge.   

Looking back at my photos I can certainly see what you mean! And actually that bother me now, it looks wrong! I can't really do much about it though, as I think it's totally a camera issue. Look in real life and the windows and signage all look just as distressed as the rest of the TARDIS - I think on camera the gloss white tends to shine somewhat, covering up that weathering and making them look new again. I'll try to get some better photos at some point

As is stands, my TARDIS is now 100% complete again, as I've finished my work on the interior, I hope everyone likes what I've done with it

Okay... I've got yet another setting to add to my meter now! That is a brilliant job, and one worthy of sulking for a few hundred years to get her looking that way! The archway is magnificent. And that backdrop makes it look like you could just walk inside her and keep going until you reached the other side of the console!

What else can I say, Richard, other than... GERONIMO!

Wow thanks! That really makes it all worth it again The archway was one of the more fun bits to do - I happily sat there for a couple of hours drawing out random circles and lines, humming tunes to myself, just like I used to do in art classes as a small child haha!

If by cladding you mean the conduits on the side, that's just a load of old pipe insulation! I got it from Wickes, which UK members will be familiar with, at £5 a packet, and it took 10 packets to do the inside of my TARDIS (fortunately, with my budget of 0, we actually already had the packets lying in the garage, after 2 months ago we made a very expensive miscalculation when getting a new boiler fitted ready for the winter, but I guess it worked out well in the end!!). I tore each length in half, then fixed them to the sides using 3 screws per length, which seems to have made them very sturdy.
The graphic at the back was inspired by "Primrodo"'s wonderful old TARDIS. It's "tiled" from A4 sheets I printed out at home. Super quick, super easy, and replaceable. The picture I used is not particularly high resolution, there aren't that many pictures from the right angle circulating yet. It serves, but I may well switch it out in favour of a custom console graphic, or even a higher-resolution one if one comes available.

A lovely build - there are a few builds on here that, whilst based on the squarer modern box variants, have a charm all of their own and that are actually a lot more pleasing than the TV version. This is one of them. I love that overhead shot of the box in particular. Terrific!

Thanks for the info I know Wickes well, I have ask a artist friend of mine to  paint the back of my build to  give it a look of depth, but i think your is great looking

Ooh.  I see screws on your St. John's badge.  Is it actually on a tin plate?  If so I'm jealous.  I want to do a tin badge but I'm cheap and lazy so the homemade "sticker" I have may remain. 

Truth be told, your bad luck was good luck.  I've got a laundry list of mods I want to do to my box but since it is more or less doing what it is supposed to do--hold crap from my garage--I have no excuse to bump it up on my list of (neglected) things to do.  If you've got a beat up box you've got an excuse to do some upgrades. 

That last shot with the door open and the light spilling out is amazing!

@Volpone Yeah the badge is a separate plate screwed on. I don't know why, but that was something I was adamant I'd do from the moment I decided my build would sport the SJA sign, I just thought it would be more visually interesting and be more durable. Although I have to admit actually that I saw your build upgrade a while ago and thought "damn it his sign looks good, why doesn't mine look like that!?!" hehe.

@Rassilonsrod Thank you very much! I admit that that was always an effect I was trying to achieve, but in the old incarnation the lights were never bright enough to cause any interesting results. I'm much happier now that I know it's actually possible to get that effect.
