Not sure if this post is in the right place, but I didn't know where else to put it.

Not very long ago (within the last few weeks, I think) someone posted a photo of the TVM Console leg and foot they'd pieced together. (I think they were building an 8th Doctor-esque console, if not an actual TVM console replica.) I was hoping to get another look at that leg, but it seems to be eluding me. I've looked through the Build Diaries, Console Workshop, Recent Posts, used the Search bar, etc., all to no avail.

Does anyone else remember seeing that post and photo? If so and you know where it is (or if it's your post), would you please point me to it?

I think it was the guy building 1 of every TARDIS in Indiana.  But it looks like he removed it.  You are not alone.

Yes! Thank you! Those images are as great as I remembered them. The work you've done so far is fantastic. Please do make a Build Diary with details and photos of the progress on this as "she" is starting to take on a life of her own. If you keep going like this she'll be a real work of art.

The pedestal looks like shaped wood (like rounded off slats of a barrel?) and the holes cut in it are very well made. (The same for the wider parts of the base as far as construction? If you've made this bit out of something else then you have some serious talent!)

The leg I'm guessing you carved out of a large plank of wood (2x8? maybe 2x10? or such?). What did you "cannibalize" to get the ball-and-claw foot part? It has exquisite detailing on it - more than I've seen on many such feet, both on furniture and offered in furniture restoration or hardware stores. Those usually have just plain "toes with some pointy-nails-for-claws", and the ball is never so round - mostly oblong (or if you're familiar with astronomical terms, oblate spheroid) with a really flat spot on the bottom.

(In a departure from my standard ENVY, which I'm trying to keep to the 2005 glowy-panel console builds, I'm going juvenile here, quoting from a recent, annoying TV commercial: "...We want more, we want more! We like it; we want more!")
And I humbly apologize for that little splurge of emotion :-[, but as my signature line says... ;)

I looked everywhere for a suitable claw foot leg. I could not find anything so I sculpted my own. I just finished casting the three legs from my original clay sculpt. I will start a build diary soon with more pictures.image.jpg

You sculpted that foot!?!? :o :o :o (I was right; you do have some serious talent!) I'm impressed beyond words, other than to say that I wish I had your skills. (I think I've actually said that to a few Builders in various categories on here, and now I can add you to the distinguished list of those who have increased my feelings of inadequacy. ;) :) :D ;D)

And now I think it's safe to say that we really want more!
