The "weathering" is turning out very nice.  I'll admit I'm a little jealous.

Thank you for the positive feedback!

This is a beautiful piece of work. :)

Just a little?! Yes... this sort of build can also generate some ENVY! when talking about the New Series. This looks absolutely fantastic! I can hardly wait to see this baby completed.

You mentioned this will be going out on tour.  Do you have something specific intended or is it mainly for a bit of fun?  Seems to be a fairly high investment for an irregular showing every now and then.  Unless...  this is something that has been requested by someone for the 50th... ?

Can't say much on that right now, but I will say that transporting this beast is a group effort.

Would you consider sharing the blueprints for this build as a PDF? I've been trying in my spare time to work out all the measurements to start my build, lumber piled in my workshop since December, but I've been trepidations to start cutting anything. I want to build up a base similar to the one that Philip Wise built on TheRPF.com, though I don't want to use 4"x6" lumber like he did for the four 60" base pieces. http://www.therpf.com/f9/my-new-series-doctor-who-tardis-build-99629/index2.html#post1431630

It's finally warm enough to get to work on a build, but any advice or blueprints would be great. Cutting the roof panels seems to be the greatest bit of mathwork trying to figure out their dimensions and cutting their edge angles.

As regards the roof, there's a very handy calculator here:

The plans are all on this site as well.

Forgot to say I like your floor idea lovely nice add on.  One thing that I have done with my Tardis is to dirty it right down now with black and some brown after seeing the real one close up (will post a photo tomorrow of the new looking tardis).  The pannels also have less black/brown on them.  Hope that helps:O)

In the words of the 11th Doctor "Look at you , you sexy thing!" ;) It's really coming along nicely, the weathering looks great considering you've not blowtorched it like the original. I Wish mine had turned out this well, Envy!

Time to make a post about posts!
All four are now glazed and ready for top coat later:

I still wanted a bit of a break from starting the doors so i thought the window frames would be easier...boy was i wrong! I was at these bad boys for a few hours and only managed to base coat, front and back, the exterior facing eight frames, but managed to squeeze some time to glaze one of them so i could get a picture.
