I managed to find "The Time Machine" (1931 edition, as in the TVM) on ebay a few years ago when I was still working. Whoever owned this book over the years took loving care of it. Even its protective hard cardboard jacket is almost like new! I got lucky; it had a "Buy It Now" button and the price was extremely reasonable. I almost got "Doctor in the House", again from ebay while I was still working, but that one was an auction only item and sadly I was outbid. (Can't win 'em all.)

Thank you Raskin.

As you say not perfect but very close.

I will include the images here for reference as it is only missing the words "His Famous Novel"

The War of the Worlds

Published by Heinemann, 1973
143 Pages

relevant eBay description : 1973 Heinemann edition of The War of the Worlds, one of the more obscure hardcover reissues of this sf classic and definitely a bit of a prize.

Caretaker Rule Book - Paradise Towers (1987)
Green book with a red pen on the back.
I'm sure I used to own that very pen years ago - it may be in the house somewhere in a drawer.
It had a clip for the pen and a coiled cord like the type that they used to use on Telephones.

Oh! Oh! And the millions of others the Doctor glimpses through in "Castrovalva".
