The page says the domain name is for sale by the owner. That's a sorry shame.

I think I downloaded just about (note: just about) all of the TARDIS sounds from there a while back. If anyone is looking for anything in particular, let me know and I'll take a look through my files and see if I've got it.

hi i would very much like to get the sound effects of the tardis as im building one please help many thanks

I'm in the same boat. I would like to get some TARDIS sound FX myself. I am actually an audio engineer/sound designer, and i tried to create the TARDIS takeoff sound, but I don't have the right piano sample to start from, so I can't get it quite right.

I am surprised that they haven't released a Sound FX CD of some kind, like they have for classic Trek sounds.

There used to be a web site with these sounds on it, but it's since gone defunct. However, a few members who had downloaded the sounds while they were available have posted them on the TARDIS Sounds Yahoo! Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TardisSounds/) so give that a look. You might find what you're looking for there.

there was an LP of Dr Who sound effects released, ooh - back in the late 70s I think. On that there were quite a few Tardis sounds, doors opening, interior in flight and stationary, scanner screen opening...etc . If you keep a look out on ebay it might pop up on there, I had the cassette version but where that is now, goodness knows.

I have an original doctor who sound effects cassette tape from 1970s think it is also music and incidental music from the show. I am sure there is tardis lifting off landing, tardis console room background sound, scanner opening closing, doors aswell. Maybe other sounds from radiophonic workshop.

And just to echo type55tardis' comment above, the Yahoo! Group I posted the link to is still up and running - still a very quiet group - and I'm still helping moderate it since type55tardis is still quite busy.

We've got quite a few sounds there in the Files section (all free downloads), if anyone is interested, and there's no cost to join the Group.

Hiya has anyone got a link they can share that has survived the ravages of time? I think I've got most of what I am looking for, but I can't get ahold of a good clean landing chime.
