Scarfwearer

Looking great! And yes those notches look like a labour of love.

Hope I got my sums right! :o

Crispin, for what ever reason you made me think of Star Trek IV -
Spock: Mr Scott can not give me exact figures so I have had to guess ....
McCoy: May all your guesses be right
(paraphrased)
next thing I have to work on is the underside of the console - So i need to make another template. Looking to other build diaries for inspiration.

A few more detail shots of the Five Doctors console on display:
...
The underside:

After having seen a hexagonal opening in one of the underside panels of the console a while back, I was inspired to try see if this opening was still present.  Sadly I couldn't see any obvious openable openable hexagons (it's probably shifted around to the back of the console), but it appears that most, if not all the undersides have a hexagon detail on the "V" panel:

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

I actually like the photos showing the console 'table' with the supporting plinth the 'wrong' way up - nice effect  ;) In all seriousness though, this is coming along very nicely indeed. Lovely build!

Thanks Tony.  :D
I thought it looked kind of neat to place the Console parts in a variety of positions - possible future console designs - plus, once everything is glued together I won't have the opportunity to do it again. I started using card stock because I had a lot of it hanging around - purchased for various art classes, and then never used. Still there are times I think It would have been better to use a thin plastic on this project.

Thank you for the kind coments. They keep me going. I have been looking at the various construction capabilities of the Tardis console parts. Turning bits upside down and attaching them together in various new configurations.  Don't worry I still plan on building a faithful model, it's just fun to play around every now and then. Maybe I'll inspire someone to build a console based on one of these images.

You have some serious patience! (I'd bet that, with a little tape, you could re-assemble a document that's gone through a shredder! ;))

I have actually done that before. About 20 years ago, I did some summer work for a private investigations firm... :)
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.

And the press get fed the scapegoats,

very cool - And also, you have been awesome at tracking down BBC Set plans as well as other useful data.  ;)

Also, so these bits don't get knocked down on to the floor and mixed up -I've implemented safety precautions.

Well this is coming right along. Almost as if you didn't have to worry about work. ;)  I saw a bottle of steak sauce in one pic.  You aren't going to baste the console are you?

I haven't been going out to visit friends for a few days and I work from home. ;) I mostly go out on the weekends. as for the Steak Sauce - I have been eating my meals in the office.  :P
