Some EXCELLENT grabs there :)
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

Wow! It's actually a lot nicer than I thought. At first it just looks like a mass of keyboards, but there's much more to it.

Some pics of the Five Doctors console (I think) from an exhibition in 2003...

I want to lick that console, even though they got four of the panels switched around.

Is that a real dummy monitor on there now? :)

image.jpgFound this in the Doctor Who Vault hardcover if anyone is interested. Were all the consoles made to come apart in segments?image.jpg

I think they were, if nothing else for maintenance and repair. They would also have to be stored in the "off season" so having them come apart for "flat packing" would be a good thing. (And just to help keep people from getting a crick in their necks:

Interesting how the infrastructure on this console is mostly an open framework, when you compare it to how they built the New Series consoles, with bulkheads separating the panel sections. But then, the New Series consoles do take more abuse than the Classic ones did.

Remember it well, that was from the Panopticon 40th anniversary event in 2003. The console had just been refurbished and I recall there was some aggro because people were snapping off switches for souvenirs...

Here's the proper picture of Mike Kelt and the 5 Doctor's console.

Thanks for that. I posted that from my phone and the upload didn't go well.

Can someone link me to a post that has the dimensions of the panels and each "compartment" or "recess"?  Example, the width of the slot where the door handle is?

Try reading through Lungman's Build Diary here: http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=279.0. He created a magnificent "Five Doctors" console replica. I'm sure if you can't find what you're looking for in his Diary, if you send him a PM he'll get you the answer you need.
