Hello All,

My first post here.
Thanks to the superb references on this board, I've been able to complete my Pertwee Era Console.
It's all art card and custom graphics and although it doesn't compare to some of the beautiful craftsmanship showcased here, I thought you might like to see...
Now working on a "Longleat Exhibition" variant!

Any comments/suggestions greatly appreciated,
Ian

Good work!

You have managed to get a nice clean finish and sharp angles.

lorisarvendu

That's very tasty.  Well done indeed!  I really ought to get my act together to build one of these.

kert gantry

Love it!  Be great to see the Longleat console done like this in model form (a first I think?).

markofrani

Very nice model! The graphics are great and really well observed. I'm in the process of finishing my 1:6 scale Pertwee model and I wondered what the type was you had below the telepathic units?

What a great model Stiki, and welcome to the board.

I love card as a model making material, you have done card a great service making such a lovely model.

What's next on your plans to build?

stiki

Hello all and thanks for making me feel so welcome.

I really appreciate your kind comments.

@ markofrani - I used the font "Intrepid" for all the type seen on the console. I think this is right, it was either that or "Impact" but that didn't print so well at small scale

@ mark - on the workbench right now is a near completed "Longleat" Exhibition Console. I think "kert gantry" could be right - I've never seen that one in model form before, pics to follow and I just started on the Original Console as seen in "Inferno".

Like Mark said, as an example of what can be done with card this is hard to beat.  Roll on the Longleat and Hartnell versions.

Hello All

Thought you might like to see my "trio" of completed consoles:

Here are my attempts at:
The Pertwee, The Hartnell/Troughton & "Inferno" Consoles:

As before all constructed in card with custom made graphics:

Now to complete my "Longleat" variant  :D

Those are awesome.

I've wanted to draw up plans for the Inferno & Pertwee variants myself... Never managed to finish them yet...

What size are they roughly?

Hello and many thanks!

Praise indeed from you sir (long time admirer of your superb graphics here).

I tried to scale the Consoles to the Character Options Action Figures.
The model measures approx 18cms across at it's widest point and stands 9cm high (excluding the central coloumn).
Each panel has a leading edge of approx 9.2cms.

Hope this helps?

Yes indeed, thanks! It can be hard to tell by photos alone (especially since I'm not a collector of the figures, myself).l

I've long wanted a 5 Doctors console of my own (it's functional, you know? :)) But I've grown to love the original Brachacki design and the variants up to the Pertwee era. You've done a grand job here :)

Thanks also for the compliments on my CGI :)

Hello and thank you!
I'm sorry you will not find these graphics online - I designed and made these myself  :)
