Cheers, they're both 1:4 (quarter) scale.  One is exactly 1:4 of my full size box  and the other is a version of the NST that use my preferred dims - regular panels all around and other little things (that I can't remember!)

I counted the struts on a real garden lamp and made the file from that - I may still have it... hang on...  can't find the file sorry.   Going out to garage to count real one....

there are 11 upright metal bits and one across the bottom rim, one on the top rim and two around the middle  ie:

I didn't go that route though because I wasn't confident of my ability to calculate the exact distance between the vertical gridlines so it would match perfectly the lamp I'm using - which is a cannibalised pen lid!

However I might just try it.  Can you tell me how many vertical lines there are on the lamp?  All the plans I've seen are fairly 2D so don't really show it.

You are showing some remarkable flexability coming up with possible solutions. I wish we would have had time to try more things. Most of the stuff we did was from stuff that was mentioned on this board.

Your printout of the plans looks very familiar.   And your model is looking the part. And on your second pic, I see the face of Bubs from Homestar Runner.  Is that him?
