How on earth do you do those walls O_O how do you get those 3D roundels with card?

Yeah I know that site, but I didn't ask where to get them from I asked how you made yours 3D? Like how did you exsactly make roundels sink in??

i printed of the walls and cut the cirlces out and then i layered to pieces of foam board behind and thats how my made my walls  3d

Work in progress. The console room is starting to come together. The model looks a little naf but its my camera not the model!!

I think it looks amazing! Been so tempted to start making one, problem is I have too many projects to finish and couldn't start another. Your build look brilliant, love the 3D roundels and wow the console is very well detailed! love the 3D Eliments youv'e added  console is very acurate! great build, going to love amazing when finished 

thanks for the kind words, i am thinking of printing of some of the detailed bits like the metres a guages to make it look that bit more realistic, its taking me a long time to do though but i am getting there

starting to take shape

Building the outside TARDIS shell can get repetitive at times doing everything four times over (except the multitude of panels) but all those roundels! How fed up of cutting circles did you get?

Looking at the last picture there are two things I think I can see (may be my eyes playing tricks) that give your build that little more realism. The first is what looks to be the door opening things which only seemed to be apparent during Petwee - Davison early years and the second is where your console metal strip looks a little battered, which the real prop looked except far worse!

Oh boy did i get fed up cutting those roundels out! atleast you understand, both the doors and the interior wall were made from foam board and, i had to then had to have to layers stuck together to make the space in the roundels deep enough, so boy was it repetitive! next time i am going to use a laser cutter because the longer i went on cutting the roundels the messy it got and so some roundels haven't been cut as well

yeah i wanted the doors to be open so i looked at the david son doors and i am using the same sort of idea where the doors move on a pole, its a bit scrappy but it works

i hope to finish making my hartnell box and then start making a key to time console room, are you going to make any console rooms? your met box looks great i must say

Thats very kind of you to say. Working in card is great but as you well know, it can get troublesome.

Often thought about a console build. I suppose the thing that has put me off is the fact I've always had a soft spot for the five Doctors console and as such I think it may be the amount of work that would be involved that puts me off. Plus I think the amount of room I would need to store it once built as I would probably go for the same scale as my box ie 1/4 scale. Could be a bit big! lol

yeah that console room is quite cool i must say yeah that would be quite big and a bit of a problem, you could alway make a series of small models like i am planning, but everyone has there own ideas, man now i wanna make a 5 doctors console so badly!
