Crispin - Wow. Just - wow.  :o

Oh - and Karsten - yes you do!

With little time to devote to my console, I'm living through the ones you guys are building...  :)

I've been agog and quite literally agape at this project...

But since you posted your update Crispin, I've not been able to see the pictures, even when everyone else has been.

Today, the pictures have magically appeared....

One word: Wow.

That's a lovely looking bit of furniture, irrespective of it being a console!

You must be really proud of your work so far, Crispin.  :)
My pilot's license? That's out back in the Cessna. Or perhaps you're referring to my license to kill. Revoked. Trouble at the Kazakhstan border.

I could give you the details but then I'd have to kill you, which I can't do because my license to kill has been revoked.

I am back to work on it, I was a casting fool this weekend thanks to Chris,  got all of my switch housing casts, I also got the piano key's cast up and the same with my ping pong ball light surrouds, I made them out of cardboad, then coated them with resin to harden them up. I then did a silicon mold of them so I could cast up a bunch, I just didn't have the patience to cut and sandwich that many surrouds, the resin castings are much faster.  I also have dry fitted several  switches and lights to be wired up later. I will post some update pictures this up coming weekend as I will be doing a ton more work on it :)  Thanks for the interest guys. Chris I need to touch base with you on the set up of your lever switch housing and how you build the rods to connect to the switches etc.

Cheers guys!
I have a small update too - I'll try to get pics up. Progress has slowed the last couple of weeks, but I've been working on hinges and getting ready to do the underside.
More soon.

Yup. Ditto that.

Very impressive. Of coarse, considering that you also built a season 16 console, and a Tom Baker-era inspired console room, as well as a Police Box and two daleks, we would have expected no less impressiveness in your work.

Crispin... Did you say something about photos?  ;D

Alas I think the forum is keeping me busy - I don't think I have significant progress to show since the last update. Well, I added hinges, but they don't really show much. I was going to say that the weather is at last warming up, but it's -1 degrees C out there at the moment... and my workshop is unheated.

I know how that is, it was never that cold when I lived in the UK still... but life at BBC Outisde Broadcasts was not fun during winter!

indeed, it's really paid off, to bad your console has had to take the back seat.
