Thanks :D
Isn't it how ironic that we have to think of solutions out of the box, in order to build our boxes a lot of the time?

Ummm...is this the wrong time to point out...

Nar, I'm only joking!  She's gawjuss!  ;D

superrichi1a

Hehehe... no! This is the right time to point out! I'm already planning her first major overhaul! :)

She Looks Sweet!  I really Really love the windows.

Still trying to wrap my head around how you did that.

I am guessing mine wouldnt look like that as I sanded both sides of my Perspex to get the frosted look. Yours looks shiny on the front side. Maybe someday I will redo the windows and go for that look. I love it.

I've always said my favourite time to look at the TARDIS is in the rain, and, today, I got some pictures of it in the rain :) It wasn't as heavy as I'd hoped, but, hopefully you get the idea!

real question is how is she holding up in the rain?  Any leaks?

I know mine, I thought I leak sealed it and discovered that I still am leaking somewhere around the Fresnel. More Caulk...

Also I am seeing some weather or Water issues on my windows. the paint on the wood on the windows is cracking a bit. in spots.

Mine's still leaking pretty badly. It's better than it was, but I'm finding that it will need much more sealent on the inside of the roof - that is where most of the problems stem from. The issue is that we've been having some pretty unpredictable weather here, and I haven't had a good dry spell with which to get up there and make it more waterproof...
Still, it's much better than it was, and, as I predicted, it was a good decision I made to make sure the inside of the box wood was just as protected as the outside, with preservative and several coats of think primer.

Night photo's will be up tonight, hopefully. I've still not got quite the right lights for my liking, but these'll do for now.

The Doctor returns to our screens 27th August, I'm aiming to have the inside of my box completely finished and fitted out by then.

Not quite there yet, they need to be whiter, and MUCH, MUCH brighter, but, this is what I call "light setting 2" out of a planned 6 settings :)
What do you think?

Still need to be brighter, but I think I'm getting there!

You really want to keep those neighbors awake all night, don't you? A man after my own heart, Richard! ;D I like it!

Hahaha, that's a good way to put it! It'll teach 'em for having parties 'till 3am every other week! ;D
Nah, fortunatly because of big trees the TARDIS is pretty much hidden from enemy view, so I don't really have any issues to worry about there. The main reason I think they should be brighter is because when they are bright enough, the T shaped definitions in the windows (the blacked out plastic areas) become invisible, pretty much making for screen accurate windows :)

I can't believe I have left this so late!

Merry Chriatmas Photos!

Shame it didn't snow this year, to get snow while she was decked out in her Christmas decorations would have been quite something! Always next time I suppose :)

Aaannndd, call it off topic, but hey, it's of general interest anyway. These were taken last year when we all got snow before Christmas :)

Snow1.jpg

An AA box from a house that isn't too far from where I live. Passed it on Christmas Eve and had to take a photo. It's in excelent condition, I've never seen one this nice before. It looks brand-new, which makes me wonder if the owners actually built the thing, rather like we build police Boxes (what a strange hobby we have!)

Snow2.jpg

Second is this - the red phone box that lives down the road from me (in fact I can see it lit up not out the window :) ). I believe this is actually the oldest original red phone box in the whole of the Midlands, and I know for sure it's the only original functioning one in the West Midlands. I feel quite privaleged about that :)
