Wow that is an awesome job!  It looks very close to the real thing.

However I can understand that someone that seems to be a huge fan of the Master would want a Fragment of a blown up TARDIS.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Thanks guys, I'm really pleased with how it's going. And yeah when I get around to building my Master's Tardis, this will look great perched on the console. :P

Great work Rocket!   ;D Such a great piece of the last season story come to life!  Really good looking prop you have there.  My only bit of constructive criticism is that the original has deep gouging along the top where as yours is pretty flush along the surface.  This could be done easily with a dremel or maybe a bit of darker paint along the top edge to emmulate that would be helpful in getting a closer reproduction.

As it is, I love it! Wonderful job sir!

Lookin' great so far!

I'd hang that on my wall.

I like what you did so I'm going to start on mine today.  I had some scrap ABS setting around so I'm going to make mine out of that. I needed one as a prop for my Dr Who costume I am going to wear at Dragon Con. I hope it turns out good. Realy nice job on your piece.
Hello from the Bath Time Trooper.

I've decided to leave it as is for now while I work on another project. But I will be adding more soot for sure. Dunno about the extra gouge in the top though, I'm a bit worried about stuffing it up. I should have done that before I painted it I guess.

But anyway, work has now started on my Master's computer bank Tardis from The Time Monster. It's not full scale (close though), and I'm taking a bit of creative license with it, but it should be a pretty decent likeness when done. I'll post some pics of the progess so far tomorrow.

At this point...a wood burning tool might be best for the gouging.

For a new project, I'm wondering if a piece of drift-wood, would work well for this?

Finally got around to adding more soot, and rather pleased with the results. I picked up some charcoal from an art supply shop and just scribbled all over it, then rubbed it in with my finger:
