Hi everyone,

There's no reference to this box on this site yet so I thought i'd share with you my pictures of it from the day it was unveiled in February 2008. I've got a couple of pictures of the post too if anyone wants to see them???

I fixed your original post while you were trying again. Looks like you figured it out anyway. :)

Hi Crispin,

How are you?

No idea at all. I went through making them smaller and uploading them to Photobucket instead. How did you make my Flickr image work? I'd like to know as I use that site all the time and it would make things so much easier.

Wow!
All the way from Glasgow, and looking a lot like this baby, with it's Met box legend.

Do you think it is that one KB?
I'm so pleased we have our own vintage Police Box in Kent, I'll be going over to see it as soon as possible  :D

But when I saw it on the telly my first thought was 'wow, that's KB's box!'

They said the museum will be open from the 10th of February
at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent. ME4 4TZ

Yippee  :)

Hi TG A lot of people have said a lot of things about my box (Mostly positive, I might add) but for the real thing to be mistaken for it, now that is praise indeed. I thank you muchly, you've made my day

Sorry for the delay in this guys but I was there for the day with my Dalek. The museum curator is a friend of mine so I was asked along with Dennis as was Tom Baker but that's another story.

I was there for 12 hours and the BBC had a crew there for 10 hours just to film a few minutes lunchtime and almost the same for 6.30pm It was great fun despite being very cold and the beeb even gave me £20 for my expenses. Meridian TV nipped in and did a quick film while the beeb lot went to lunch

My PC died yesterday morning and took all of my files for the last six weeks with it including a lot of photos that I took of the box. A few were still on my camera so here they are.

There were several retired police officers there who told me a few funny tales, including one where the spent the night collecting as many stray cats as they could find and bundled them all into a police box, the poor guy who opened it in the morning had the fright of his life when they all shot out. The box due to the stench was unusable for quite some time.
