Actually, it says there were 2 flats left over the from the secondary console room.  Make sense as you sometimes see two in the TARDIS corridors.  And in the plans, the roundels are 550mm wide, or almost 22 5/8".  I think we had long discussions of this years ago and it was said to be 20" wide once someone measured one they had in their collection.

It's worth noting, that this is another example of things not being built *exactly* to spec...

The walls in the plans show deep roundels (a la Hartnell) however...

Also for reference you can see the Season 14 roundels through the interior door.

That must have been a little confusing for the props people. Showing the deep roundels in the print, and in the enlarged cross-section, yet having the note about the roundels say "Keep with existing", which were obviously the shallow ones of the Season 14 walls.

Like I mentioned earlier, one would think that having to take the time to draw the new set's prints, they would have drawn the details they wanted, rather than draw one thing, and put notes on it saying something different.

Well, maybe I'll just never figure out set designers. ;)

Me neither, but at least the episodes haven't been junked :)

Thank the Great Goddess of the Universe for that! We've had enough episodes lost. Thankfully they're still finding some of them every so often. Maybe, between finding episodes (or whole stories as in the case of "Tomb of the Cybermen") and the reconstruction (as was done with "The Invasion" Eps 1 and 4), we might actually get to see all of the episodes at least once before we're all over 1,000. ;)

Just came across this on Clayton Hickman on Twitter: "Even more obscure #DoctorWho TARDIS ..."

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Nice finds! Any indication what stories they're from?

In the smaller of the two, I notice that it has "ceiling" flats over the back. I wonder if this is from Season 17. I know they definitely used that in Destiny, when Romana was taking her sweet time regenerating.

As for the other one, "Circus and Sanctuary".... I wonder what that could mean. It's definitely far too early for GSitG.....

Edit: I found Clayton's post. I think the small one is from Shadaaaaaaaaaaaaa. (Although it doesn't match any of the floorplans I have in my collection).

Edit: This website appears to suggest that the colourful one is from Time Flight, because on the full version - it mentions time flight.

Ooopse . Sorry I was searching for images of Doctor Who production floorplanns. I was looking at the outline of the TARDIS set and misidentified it.

Ideally I would like to have a gander at Logopolis, Castrovalva, Terminus, Earthshock and Attack of the Cybermen floorplanns because of the corridors. I'm just curious 😁

Wouldn't we all! I've been trying to figure out the layout of Logopolis/ Castrovalva for decades:D
