Have you thought about making a new panorama with your new room?

Actually, one thought comes to mind.... There was (in some old DWM or something) diagrams of all the console rooms
done by simply having an image of all the walls next to eachother. That would be cool, done as a photograph :)

Funnily enough I was thinking about doing a new panorama just yesterday... I might even get to it before the sun goes supernova...

Okay, the sun didn't go supernova this afternoon, so here it is:

2010panorama-5972x1050a-comp.jpg

It's a big picture, so you might like to look at it closer:

If you're using Firefox, right-click View Image, press F11 to maxmize your browser, then click on the image to zoom it to fill the screen. You can then use the scrollbar at the bottom to pan around on it.

If you're on Internet Explorer, you can view the image by grabbing its URL from the properties right-click menu and putting that in the address bar. Alternatively, you can Save Picture As... and view it from the file.

There are several daleks in the room too - but they managed to stay out of the way as the camera swung around.

You should do one of those interactive pictures so it's all in scaled  and can be rotated around, that would look very cool..... don;t know how you do it though lol

That is awesome, I've wanted to see one of those since you got your new room set up! I can't tell you how jealous I am of your work, but I bet all the boys tell you that ;)

In response to mordrogyn: Crispin can you set your camera up on the centre of the time column? Would that make each part of the image appear in the same scale?

Well, I could, but then you'd only be able to see the walls, not the console...

Crispin,

What a lovely console room you have there.  I think the Stephen Moffet should find a way to write a story line with DOCTOR WHO - TARDIS GENERATIONS, and find a way to show the various console rooms in some type of fragment time line where the doctor has to go into each of the various console rooms in order to get back to his 'real-time' time line... if that's not a play on words!

I just wanted to compliment you on your attention to detail and hard work and most obviously for your love of our dear Doctor!

Kudos to you!!!

Sounds like it would be kinda cool, but it would probably never happen....

Besides, the wall layout of this is not perfect to the origional, but the fact that something like this was achieved, and with such eye for detail, more than makes up for that minor thing that most probably don't care about.  Sorry - i tend to complain about little things alot.
This reminds me, my console's "under repair" gallery is about 2 weeks late... sorry for changing topic, i get distracted easily too.
The ultimate TARDIS of ultimate destiny.  Type 1012.  Now with extra duct tape.

Awsome Console Scarfwearer!

(I love it!)

I could never make one that good!

What image/video clip does your screen run?

dreamland fantasy

That is some unbelievable work there Crispin. Wow!

Kind regards,

Francis

The main scanner screen on the wall has shown Doctor Who episodes sometimes when I'm able to get hold of a projector. I really must do something more permanent about that. Watching an episode that way is rather surreal, especially if they're period episodes. :)

The screens on the console are all attached to a computer and run some custom software I built for the purpose - there's a TARDIS simulator embedded in there that runs the lights, switches, sounds and displays. There's more info about that on my website and also in the build diary: [ref topic=27]Scarfwearer's console[/ref].

Crispin,

I am thinking with the lights and such that console room must get pretty warm?  Unless you installed some sort of air flow?

I keep coming back to these pictures and it just makes me sick! Sick sick sick sick sick sick sick with JEALOUSY!!! I am greener than a Fomasi in a particle storm!!
You should rent out the space for weddings like they did the Enterprise-D bridge at the Star Trek Experience.., offer Daleks as bridesmaids...lol

I have to congratulate you on this, just to inspire you to take more pics and make some more videos using this room.....and then i can spend even more time feeling sick and more envious than i already do.......

One day I shall come back, yes, I shall come back.....and view these pictures again......probably tomorrow....curses!!!!!!
