More of an accessory than a prop, but close enough!

Recently been asked to look at replicating this pretty nice looking bracelet/watch combo that Sarah Jane wore in 'The Hand of Fear' (potentially worn in other episodes, but the images I've been provided with all appear to be from the one episode)
I'm guessing that these were pre-existing items that were put together for this costume. The watch I'm not too concerned about getting perfectly matched, as it's a fairly basic design. The bracelet, however , is a different story. I'm still fairly early into the research for it, but jewellery and things like that aren't really my strong point, so figured I'd ask on here in case anyone recognised the style of bracelet.

I've attached the images that I've been sent to start with, so feel free to add any more you may have. Any suggestions with what to be searching for would also be greatly appreciated!

Also the android invasion the bottom pictures belong to that story

I can remember these types of watchstraps were all the rage at the time. It could well be an off the peg item rather than something specially made.

On the main page,[on my phone] it truncated the title of this topic to: "Sarah Jane Smith bra"

Naturally I was interested in finding out more about this topic... Imagine my relief 😅.
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Looks to me like tooled leather.  I foolishly thought my Google-fu would find something comparable but no joy.  I'd say it is some kind of fairly heavy leather that was cut to the basic shape and then finished by carving and polishing the edges before dying and buffing.

Thanks all so far! I had initially hoped it'd be an off the peg item I could find, but no luck so far, so I suspect I'll have to make it from leather. That'll be fun considering my complete lack of leatherworking tools or experience..

Interesting.  I was trying to figure out how the watch strap worked.  I was guessing it was just laced through the larger, more intricate part.  But it looked like there were holes in the pattern that you should be able to see the strap through.  Looking more closely the holes in the pattern where you would be able to see the watch strap have what appears to be brass insets in them.  This looks like it's going to be a bugger to get right and so obscure that only the most die-hard fan will even know what it is.

I think its a flat leather piece, the watch is threaded through it, and every larger space in the flat leather piece has a brass button or detail of extra leather on it?

Bit of an update.. (been a while!)

Got a final approved drawing, now just need to get it in the right scale and wait for the materials to arrive!180745938_1338322479874465_3147570599841003995_n.jpg

Wow.  That's awesome.  Great drawing.  From the pictures I kind of understood how the thing went together, but with your picture I'm like "that's it.  That makes perfect sense."

Been a while, but it's finally finished! The original plan of using vegan pleather (as per customer request) failed completely, so we ended up going with real leather. After figuring out the right shade of red, and alot of time cutting and sanding the leather, we're done! For my first project working in real leather, I'm really happy with how it's turned out (and the customer appears to be aswell!)

Enjoy!

Very slick!  I'm always surprised when something like this, that seems so tricky, turns out so well.  If you did Russel's side-by-side photo comparison, you could probably spot differences, but just looking at that I'd say "That's the watch from the episode."
