lol It definitely hasn't been easy, there's been a quite a few problems that have required fixing along the way, or things not turning out how I expected. But that's all part of the fun I guess

Unfortunately, yeah. This is the 2nd motor I've bought (thankfully they're pretty cheap) and both have been pretty loud and unpleasant sounding. I was thinking about buying some foam used in recording studios to dampen the sound. Have you had any luck fixing your motor noise?

Nah I bought that noise reduction foam and lined the base and has helped a bit.

If it's wheezing like a grampus then maybe try getting the whole thing redimentioned on Logopolis.
