After several more hours of sanding and fixing minor things. I was able to get my handles attached and lock installed. Much thanks to member chriskingbees for helping me with the handles. I'll have to take a photo of the door open ask I did modify this so both doors work. I also did a dry fit but without the panels. I also wanted to get some rough total measurements. Thanks for checking this post.20190812_181904.jpg20190821_193242.jpg20190808_183009.jpg20190808_183027.jpg

Unsolicited advice:  Add some beefy capitals to the cornerposts.  The trap of adding as many Met box steps, opposed to a TARDIS roof is that the roof looks puny.  But I think if you push the caps on the cornerposts almost to the top of the next step it will help with that.

So it has been awhile since I have posted any updates but I have plenty to share. I settled on a top lamp found this at Lowes originally by chance.top lamp.JPG

I was able to get my sign frames built and I received my signs for across the pond from a wonderful person to work with. If you see this and need signs send me a message I will get you in touch with Vicki. The signs she custom made for came out very nice.police call box sign.jpg

So as you can probably see from the last post I did get into painting. Still have some work to do but I was able to prime and paint everything at this point as well as get the windows complete.panel and door.jpgfull roof.jpg

Pretty happy with the lamp. I am probably going to add the 4 rods to the four corners. I know since it is scaled down slightly it is not going to be perfect but. I also got the roof lighting addressed. I have to figure out how to link a video as I have the top light flashing. All the signs are lit and happy with the look.Full Roof 1.jpg
Took an additional photo here with most of the background light off.lit roof.jpg

So it has been awhile. I had just posted something else and realized I never put any photos of the almost final build.

Still need a few finishing touches but I am pretty happy with the outcome so far. 20200107_202040.jpg20191031_183411.jpg

Hello,

Finally got around showing off the mostly finished project. As with anything like this I am sure I will continue to tweak things as time goes on. I actually may replaced the windows with some upgraded polycarbonate that was extra from work. We delayed our large wedding due to the pandemic. We were able to do a little ceremony in our backyard.

Enjoy and appreciate any feedback.Tardis time to load.jpgweather tardis.jpg

These are great pics, but remember you need to use the "insert" button after you have uploaded your pictures, which will prevent them from looking "greyed out"

Yeah, the new board software is annoying on pictures.  Once you upload them, you need to go back through and "Insert" them.  And you can't do it in "quick edit" you need to go into "Modify," go down to "pictures and options" (or whatever it is, I'm going from memory here).  Each picture file will be within a green box.  At the bottom right there is an "insert" button.  Click it and the picture will appear normally instead of "greyed out."  I did one for you, but it's been months and I've done this so many times that I'm getting a bit snotty about doing the editing for someone's entire thread.  (Don't take it personally, but the moderator stipend/honorarium just isn't enough to motivate me to edit everyone's threads. ;) )
