So was bored one weekend in glorious lockdown and working in the NHS weekends are a luxury, so decided to have a go at this mask and here is the result, Bear in mind done in two days.44AF829A-19A0-41B2-8350-317A6EF77B43.jpeg

"Hey, Russell!  Looks like somebody is trying to 'muscle' upon your territory!"

A bit more seriously, is that a wearable mask or a bust "portrait" statue?  Very authentic!  Would you achieve the "surfacing"?

Sincerely,

Bill

That looks brilliant!

I am seriously impressed you got that done in a couple of days... mine took weeks to make.

Like Bill, I'd love some details on how you made it...even maybe a WIP picture or two..?

Regards,

Russell

Like wise, would love to know how you did yours.
From what I can remember seeing or reading somewhere, they used black silastic over a balloon or the likes.

Thanks so much for comments, all I did was use a wig head and put a hat over it painted green then layers and layers of hot glue, painted green.

Very clever!

By a "hat I assume something akin to a ski mask?  I see a layer of knitted material underneath the hot glue webbing which leads me to think that.  Please clarify if i'm mistaken.

Hot glue...  As Russel noted that IS very clever!  I suspect that soft resin will allow some "give", permitting somebody to actually wear the item as a mask.  Again, am I mistaken?

Sincerely,

I'm guessing your mask is a lot more flexible than mine!

Mine started quite flexible, but with every layer it got harder & harder until it's like a rock now!
Fortunately I made it big enough so it still does slip over the head.

(You know we're all subtly angling for a photo of you with it on... ;) )

Hi yes it's a simple Woolly winter hat pulled down which I had lying about and the hot glue is what I saw what's left of the original online, us prop makers use all sorts of weird things but happy how it came out.

That looks awesome.

Thank you for working in the NHS at this difficult time. If we weren't shielding someone I would live to have volunteered at the local hospital. Maybe after his and my second jabs I'll be able to.
I speak to you from the final days of Gallifrey. I am the past you have forgotten. You are the future I will not live to see...
