Ooh, sweet!  I see there are additional varieties.  A few months ago I downloaded the "Invasion" era helmet and "edited" the mesh for better optimization in Poser.  9Basically I stripped away the inward facing surfaces that would be of no benefit in a "rendering" suite.  I then mounted it upon a Poser rigged figure that already had the appropriate body details.

Years ago, maybe close to 15 I modeled what I thought was a "decent" Moonbase/Tombs styled helmet digital prop, but I'm sure the one you've linked is superior at all the details are actual geometry and not simply "faked" with bump and displacement maps as I used.

I already have an "EarthShock" helmet (as well as the "yoke") by Celestial Toymaker, but it won't hurt to examine this one.

I'm not familiar with an artisan known as The Celestial Toymaker. Is there a link? I've always wanted an Earthshock helmet. I assume the "yoke" is the chest unit.

I'm on my company's network at the moment, so a lot of sites are restricted.  It'll likely be this evening (after 5 PM US eastern) before I can dig up any infor'.

He used to run a site called "BlenderWho" and he offered several items including the Hartnell console.  Eventually the domain expired and Toymaker went to a "blog".  It was then and there he offered the Earthshock helmet.  After a bit interested parties convinced him to model and share the "chest unit" (what I described as the "yoke", same thing)as well.

Now, I have not visited that blog in years, so I don't know if it's still active or if the download links are still active.    But, he is (or once was) a member of "Gallifrey Base" and it was within the "fan art" sub-forum that we convinced him to offer the "chest unit".  I can't access that site while "working", but if you have an account, you just might be able to find those "ancient" posts before I get off work this evening.  It'll be a "deep dive" as those posts my be close to a decade old.  Search for my username "Redfern" (same as here" and restrict the parameters to the fan art section and you may find the relevant entries.

If you have no success by this evening, I will follow upon your efforts.

I found the thread, surprisingly quickly, but...(you knew this was coming)...the download links are LONG "dead".  Plus, he hasn't posted since 2009 (dang!) and hasn't visited the site since March of last year).

You noted the "moniker" Celestial Toymaker does not ring any bells (in this context).  He also goes by "Richard Marklew".  Does that name have any meaning for you?

Okay, either Richard read my e-mail and decided to visit Gallifrey Base to post a link, or, against all probability, he "just happened" to visit the forums after 11 months' absence, saw my post respond to it!

EDIT:  I tested the download (which worked) and was able to open it with UV Mapper Pro, a program specifically designed to read .OBJ files.  Richard exported a "fresh" version of the geometries as a single units, the helmet and chest unit together, so it will be up to end users to disassemble the parts if they wish.  But the salient point is that it works!
