No, not the mind probe!

Looking very good-
Instantly recognizable-

Don't forget to insert your picture after attaching it to prevent the dreaded "greyed out image!!"

Interesting how, without the head, tail and details like the control pad, the "chassis" of K-9 resembles an "old fashion" physician's instrument bag, from the bygone era when doctor's made 'house calls".  Yeah, I suspect that was purely coincidental as the idea was to suggest the body of a dog, the concave, recessed sections implying a full bore 'cavity" and the flush corner trim giving the impression of "legs".

Still, others must have perceived a similarity because floating around the internet are concept drawings of K-0 for a never produced animated "Doctor Who" series by Nelvana Studios.  Some of those drawings depict K-9 folded within itself (quasi "Transformer" fashion) into a compact case with a handle resembling...a physician's instrument bag.  I realize some fans may consider that "over the top", but I rather like the idea.

Sincerely,

Bill

I agree with Bill.
I always thought K-9's body looked a bit like a doctors bag, too.
In fact, I have seen several femme 4th Dr cosplayers who have had a K-9 bag as part of their costume, which is very clever!  ;D

I've seen numerous photo of women dressed as Tom's Doctor (well, photos), but I've never seen any sport a K-9/purse.  If you have any links, I'd love to see an example or two!

You could always start a new thread/chat! I'm sure others would be interested as I would.
Chris.

Sounds like a plan...
Not sure what section it would go in?

Definitely "Off Topic News."  We have, perhaps, relaxed quite a bit from when I joined here 10-ish years ago, because back then the answer would have almost certainly been "this has nothing to do with TARDIS building.  Post it on Outpost Gallifrey if you want."  But a K-9 shaped bag certainly doesn't fit in any category of actual Dr. Who prop.  So if it belongs anyplace, it belongs in "Off Topic News."

We now return you to your regularly scheduled K-9 build project.

The other thing it reminds me of, now that you mention it, is a wooden carpenter's toolbox (although less so, now that I've googled images to confirm it).
"My dear Litefoot, I've got a lantern and a pair of waders, and possibly the most fearsome piece of hand artillery in all England. What could possibly go wrong?"
-The Doctor.

I thought as much.

I'll post some pics there, as one or two people seem interested.   :)

Thanks!
