Until I can find a cheap motion control rig that's about as good as it's going to get...

Nothing say's locked down in Tier 4 with nothing to do than making TARDISes materialise on a beach (Frankly I wish I could materialise on a beach right now...)

This was a practice attempt to see if I could insert one of my 7th scale model TARDISes into some moving footage, using Adobe After Effects.

This is about my third attempt using different moving backgrounds - some less successful than others. It's a lot harder than you might think!

Quite pleased with this one; however its still not quite perfect...

I've an absolutely gorgeous one I've been working on; however I can't quite get the last moments of the track to work properly. I've not given up yet though... ;))

Looks great to me!

I think we all wish we could jump into a blue box & escape the lockdown for a while...

I'm off to Paris in a bit- but only in my mind.....  ;)

Keep up the good work...

Still playing with models...

The blue on the McGann Hudolin box is a real sod to get right...

Unlike most (all?) of the other boxes, which can have hints of cyan or green in certain lights, the Hudolin skews towards purple.. at least to my eyes. I wonder if this is partly due to differences between film stock, or video - or maybe post-production colour grading on t'other side of The Pond?
A mixed-up non-conformist, trying to fit in.

it's color is in the film isn't much know, mostly lighting and filming technic/montage made the final box more of a dark blue then it actualy looks. TBH, this would have went unoticed if not for the day scene. you know what, i'll create a discution it the hudolin channel.  i think we can colectively sort this out.

Thanks for posting Steve.

Not only have you shown me a beautiful picture of your TARDISes, but you have also made my mind up what I'm going to have for dinner!

Now that's what I call service..

Cheers,

Russell

The camera blows out the illuminated signage a little, but you get the picture...
