I think the size & shape of yours are pretty good.
The only thing I would say about your ears, is the same thing that's wrong with my ears, which is that the wire used to make them is a bit too thick.

Otherwise, I think they're OK.

Given the variation in K9's ears over the years - and the sorry state they've been in very often - I'd say, 'slightly too thick' isn't too much of a problem.
The only notable difference I see between the 'real' K9 and your two, is that his ears (and the things they stick into) are angled outwards and slightly away from each other. And I only noticed that because of the close-up comparisons.

I did try to get my K-9's ears to angle outwards, but it's definitely not as pronounced as on the original prop.



I think the above shot shows a bit better that there is a bit of an angle.

Ah yes, I see it in that image! Maybe K9 just naturally has some unflattering angles?   Besides, I'm no expert, but it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of the many props also had straighter ears.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were variations among the props.



And there are certainly some angles more flattering than others.

K-9 is a bit like a Dalek where some angles look much better than others.
It becomes a bit of an art to capture them at their best!
Thank goodness for digital cameras so we can take loads of pictures & pick the best!

(Blimey, who remembers the good old days when you had 32 exposures on your film & that was it!?!  And you had to send them off to Boots to get them developed! Stone Age stuff!)

Ah yes, the disappointment of waiting for days, only to get back a picture with a sticker on it proclaiming it was too blurry to process nicely - I have some very disappointingly dark pictures, from way back when the Star Trek exhibit was at the London Science Museum, that suffered a similar ignominy. That's the other big benefit to instantly seeing your photos: how easy it is to just tweak the brightness/contrast, etc if you need to!
Slightly off-topic, but on the subject of flattering angles (and Star Trek) - Matt Jefferies beautiful design of the original Enterprise doesn't have an unflattering angle on her!

I think the ears probably should tilt outwards a but I'm not sure on how best to do it yet.

The way I did it on mine was to cut the ear "holders at an angle:



But it looks like your ear holders are already fixed straight...
Maybe bend the wire where the ear inserts a little bit so they tilt forwards & outwards?

Ooooooo the ear holder things come out... the question is what to replace them with. If it wasn't for Covid I'd take his head to my volunteer job and get my boss to have a look in the workshop but I have to be extra safe because I live with someone who is immunocompromised.

I'll say Russell is on the right track.  Looking at the actual prop, it looks like the base for the antenna is a black rubber sucker for a dart gun (or something similar) and that it is on top of a disk that is cut like the wedge of a shim or a doorstop.  It looks to me like they used either fiberglass resin or Bondo body putty to blend the "wedge-disk" into the top of the head. 

I'm not sure that falls in my skill set but I have added a new gun. If you look at some of the pics you'll see it was just a metal nub. I found this in my bits box and it fits over that just great.

I did it! I found some wiggle room. It looks a bit less pronounced in the pics but it looks great in person. Just need to even them out a bit.

It's a subtle difference, but I think it adds a little more character to K9!
