So much to share, it's been so busy for me I've been slacking on updates.

First up, doors weathered:




Sign boxes finished up and a test fitting:




The last of the frames and interior moldings done:


Metal door sign, painted using a color called "Frosted Silver":


Scratches carefully cut in with the Dremmel:


Vinyl graphics applied:


Final weathering smudges done with a glaze and a little airbrushing:



Each clear window pane is frosted and accented with a feathered blackened look:


Test fitting:


Finally, all parts are set up for sanding sealer and final topcoat:

I've been anxiously watching the progress of your build, and I am completely stunned at what it looks like so far. Thank you for posting such great pictures. I've been getting great ideas for the 2010 box I will someday build, hopefully. Oh how I wish I had the time, money, and space...

Everyone may already be aware of this, but the last post in this thread was 7 years ago.  Not that there's anything wrong with that, but don't be surprised if no one from this build is going to be replying.

I'm glad it was 'bumped'!   Nice build I'd not seen before.   Would be nice to know what happened to it in the end.

But, I have to say, sometimes I find it sad how many people start documenting here their builds, and never share the ending in here, but they do it on therpf, or their own blogs. I wonder if our forum would benefit from a project Dalek style sign up, where we say that we encourage to post builds here and that not doing so may be a tad bit rude, given that without us you would have a harder time building your TARDIS?

Of course, everyone is free to do what they want, but if you start a build diary on TB, then why not finish it & then post a few glamour shots in a gallery?
(Providing you finish the build, of course!)

Most people start posting on the site, not just to show off their build, but also to get plans, advice & tips, all of which is freely accessible, so why not give something back?

I always get excited when I see a new build, & I'm always a bit upset when the diary is abandoned & we're left "hanging" so to speak, especially if, as you say, they then continue on their own blog, or Youtube or whatever medium I might not follow.

I learned so much from peoples build diaries when I was making my TARDIS & I do hope that in return, one or two people might glean something from mine...

Anyway, I'm not trying to have a go at anyone in particular, just letting off steam.

I feel much better now I've got that off my chest!!

We really are a unique place.  The level of research.  The willingness to share tips, tricks, and ideas. None of us are worried that someone will build a TARDIS that is "nicer" than their own (at least not as far as I know). 

I built an A-Team van too.  And people build A-Team vans.  But there's *nothing* like this in that--for lack of a better word--community.  You can glean the occasional tip or two from people, but it's much more useful to find screencaps and tribute pages to the show than any kind of build diary--let alone a BBS full of builders.  In fact, I half suspect some of the builders will *intentionally* put false tips onto their builds to throw other builders off.  Someone once mentioned "Inferno Red" for the stripe.  Luckily it didn't look right so I did a test before committing to it and I was right. 

Anyhow, the point is, this place, you can find people who've worked out all the dimensions--for various iterations of the prop.  Comprehensive plans for how to put it all together.  Discussions on challenging things like roofs, ventilation/waterproofing, electronics/wiring, color of blue...  And there's an even chance that if you have a problem that is interesting enough and no one has figured it out yet, someone will do the actual analysis to come up with an answer here--all simply for the pleasure of seeing another TARDIS build.  It's really quite nice.
