I know that someone on this forum has the prototype Character Options 9th Doctor Sonic, so I was wondering if anyone on here owns the Bluebird 1996 abandoned Sonic Screwdriver replica prototype, which appears to be modeled on the 8th Doctor version. The only photo of it available seems to be in black-and-white, but the model shown seems to have no color definition (basically it looks all chrome like the 800-TREKKER model). I've been in the process of writing a book on the history and impact of the 1996 TV movie on the fandom, as I feel it is a subject that gets very little coverage, and I feel an interesting portion of the book would be about the proposed toy line that would have followed the release of the film, had it done a bit better.

Oh wow that would have been awesome! Wish CO had made there's telescopic like this one. I have a Russ Rep one but would love a collapsible one with sound

After a few months of my posting this, @whoseum on Instagram posted a color photo of this prototype, along with the prototype of the TARDIS playset. I believe he is also a member of this forum! :)

Sorry just seeing this post. Yes that is my photo of the Sonic. I have a couple of the Blue Bird prototypes that I acquired in the late 90s

That's absolutely amazing! I remember seeing some old B&W photos of the sonic and TARDIS playset prototypes online a few years ago, so when I saw that you had these, I was blown away.
