When I was very young I used to time-travel amongst the shirts in my wardrobe. Of course the door opened the wrong way, but I don't think I minded that much back then. Some of us never really grow up. :)

Well, to paraphrase a certain Doctor, there's no point in growing up if you can't be childish sometimes; it's true what they say, boys don't grow up, their toys just get bigger!  :)

Don't know why Moffat had to retcon that in Day of the Doctor with the War Doctor... "Timey-Wimey? Why do you have to be so childish?"

It helped to make sense of the fact that subsequent Doctors were so young. "Why are you so afraid of being grown up?".

Anyway back to Scarfwearers awesome build :)

This showed up in the rotating thumbnail in my feed and at first I thought it was Zbigniev's(?) model.  Excellent work on both.

I've temporarily moved both the Brachacki transforming tardis and the Newbery parts of the Newbery/TYJ combo into the conservatory, partly to get them out of the way while I'm painting and shelving, but also for a small photoshoot. :)

I love how you could look at these two Tardises and say "The paint is all splotchy or showing white underneath, there's damage, and the doors are wonky!" but those are the exact details you've so painstakingly reproduced for screen accuracy! :D

I mean, maybe your 'knackered brackers" base is a teeny-tiny bit too nice, and doesn't look like it's been kicked around by props/scenery shifters (I can never remember which one it falls under) but it's lovely to see these two side-by-side.

After such nice pictures, I'm sure someone is going to (or probably already has) suggested you photograph all the combinations of these boxes so that they can be photoshopped into an amazing line up!

They look amazing!

I'm in awe of your work!

Simply stunning!

Perfect replicas - the attention to detail is amazing.

These must be the only such photos in existence, regardless of the fact that they're replicas. I don't think the actual Brachacki was ever photo'd next to any of it's successors.

Excellent work!  :)

Exactly.  As I was scrolling down my first impulse was "wow, that paint is really sketchy and the different shades are blatantly obvious and badly blended."  But then I scrolled down enough to see the box in its entirety and went "No, yeah, that's actually the way it looked."

that is soooo cool seeing them side by side like that.  Its like they jumped right off the TV into your observatory.  They are perfectly knackered.   Love it.

I have a (sort of) plan for that, but just moving those two in there took  an afternoon, and a lot of my muscles are complaining about that today.
Also, the TYJ parts are still only partly painted.

I think amachielson beat me to it with the amazing WHOseum, though I suppose his aren't stood as close together. There must surely be others also.

I still haven't weathered the Newbery, and the Brachacki is a bit of a compromise, because the weathering is really aimed at the earlier version. In later years it was much less evident.

Rassilons Rod

This is true. Not sure why I forgot about The Whoseum on this occasion. I've been marvelling at that forever!

But still,  you know how much I love your creations  :)
