This is a stunningly beautiful build! I wasn't necessarily a fan of the Pertwee console at first, but seeing all the work that has gone into recreating it for this build has changed my mind. It's just amazing. Excellent work.

Thank you very much,  originally I was going to be build the season 13 console first and then create the panels for the Pertwee, but I ended up the other way around.    I am glad I went this route, it ended up being much more satisfying for me.

:o You're tackling s13?! Wow! Has Tony Farrell been doing something we haven't been aware of...?

Anyway, we have secured ourselves entertainment and sheer joy for some time to come seeing that you'll continue with the build!
Oh my giddy aunt!!

karsthotep

I am indeed,   I tried to pick a gray green that could straddle the Pertwee era and the Season 13 console. I just need to do new panels.   That is also why I built both the Baker and the Pertwee Time Rotors to get ahead of the game.

I believe  Tony is toying with a potential addendum for the build your own console to incorporate Season 13, however it may be some time as the first publication was a lot of work.   Regardless when I am geared back up for Season 13 i'll be hitting up Tony again for assistance  ;D

This really looks fabulous! Definitely a joy to behold!

Now you just need a couple of big guys to carry it around a bit, drop it a couple of times, scrape it around a doorway, break off a few switches, scratch it up a bit, and it'll be perfect... ;)

Seriously, well done. :)

Needs roundels. Hint, hint.

This is simply brilliant. All those years of effort have certainly paid off.
When you get the chance to start on the Season 13 panels, I'll be watching eagerly!
Well done!

Hear, hear.  I was going to say more, but the flaky touchpad on my laptop ate it and I don't feel like retyping, so I'll just say I agree 100%.  Oh, and when I was young #3 wasn't one of my favorite Doctors, but rewatching his episodes with the benefit of more age and wisdom really helps me appreciate the character.
"My dear Litefoot, I've got a lantern and a pair of waders, and possibly the most fearsome piece of hand artillery in all England. What could possibly go wrong?"

Erm, Tony is always doing things - including (judging by a message from a member here which I've just seen) being invited to help establish the dimensions of a "Boxy Loco" railway engine from old photos!

Well, Karst, now that the forum is up and running again, let's get a full-sized version of the 'article' available here on TB first (and, maybe) link it to your build diary and gallery....

Afterwards we can think in more detail about the Season 13 iteration of the Kenneth Sharp Console. (Though - to be honest - that's about as far as I'd want to go as, after Season 14, the Sharp Console really was becoming very sadly abused both in terms of very crude additions and very poor man-handling!)

As Karst said a few posts ago, the forum is a great place for co-operation and encouragement:

Don't forget Crispin/Scarfwearer's excellent mid-Tom Baker Era Console or Timerotor/Mark Barton Hill's equally excellent slightly later iteration. (Mark's Console is blessed with a couple of the surviving controls from the original.)

So, there are all sorts of opportunities for like-minded people to co-operate and I'd be up for that. :-)

Haha! That put me in mind of a film which has a person walking past a door and hearing a man's voice on the other side say something along the lines of "Oh.... Nanny! Not the whip!! Oh (slight pause) Nanny Whip!" (You've got to imagine that line delivered in a Leslie Phillips/Kenneth William's kind of way and with the word 'whip' overlaid with the crack of a whip!)

And no, that's not from a porno, that's from a thirty-odd year old  British Comedy!  ;D

Brilliant build Karst! Oh, actually mate, you are wrong.. You didn't put your money where your mouth was, you put it where my mouth was! Thank you sir!

Agreed on all counts!

I had forgotten, Karst, that I have the plans for your Tardis Console Room.

I know exactly where you could build the 3D Roundel Wall - just imagine it running from the pillar underneath the 'ceiling supporting beam' and you could use your existing ceiling down-lighters to back-light it! :-)

Tony,

I think I know what you mean and that is a brilliant idea..I walked over there and it would be a great area for a false wall and the down lighting would work very well.   Thanks for that suggestion.
