Another copy of the pic Domvar found cropped differently so you can see the signal lamp on top. If it is a lamp that is and not a miniature dovecote.

This one is in Cwmbwrla as suburb of Swansea. It seems to have some sort of equipment store box at the back and I notice the one further up this thread (next to the garage) also has one. I also noticed that the garage box has a signal lamp on a post at the curb side.

Colour photo of a Swansea box shown further up this thread. I'm slightly disappointed that it looks black and white. I suppose it could be a very dark blue or green.
