Started today on the 6th console I have built (see my builds).  This one I envision more Victorian/steampunk style.  I have a sketch up and Im going to use this table for the base.  This one will be floor to ceiling design.  More info as I build.

You're not going to cut edges from that beautiful table, are you?  Building a hexagonal frame in which the "narrow" width is just larger than the diameter of the table, in effect "capping" it, that I can understand.  But to "butcher" a fine piece like that is just a crime!

Like the Shalka console?

First panel costructed. This is going to be a segmented console; I have always liked the look. 

Oooh.  I hadn't noticed the lion feet on the table before.  Very nice.  Also some very nice molding selection for the trim.  I'd almost be tempted to intentionally mismatch some of the trim.  Like how one tower of a gothic cathedral will be slightly different than the other because they were built 100 years apart.  Things could break on a TARDIS and the particular part might not be available anymore, so the Doc might have to settle for something close. 

The common element is the leaf.  I will have a lot of that thru out the console.
