For all sorts of reasons, TARDIS builds take a fair amount of time.  I think it's somehow appropriate.

Work has not let up for more than a year, now.  The TARDIS sits patiently in the corner. However, last week I tackled something I've been meaning to do, which is to have the Seal of Rassilon remade. When the original one was waterjet out of brass, the stream was slightly misaligned, and so it did not fit properly into its slot in the floor.  It was just an error on their part, so they've re-run it.  Here is the final brass Seal, in its home in the base. The Seal is centered in the floor; there is just something leaning against the back wall, which almost looks like the back wall itself. Going to try to make some progress, however slowly, each week.

Time is relative.

The TL;DR status is this: It was stolen, and I'm trying to get it back.  It's a long story, and not that interesting, just a lot of drama.  But I *did* manage to get all the master fiberglass moulds back, and have everything I need to build a second one, if need be. 

Incidentally, I'm making these out of mahogany with inlaid brass:

Gah.  That's terrible. 

There are people far more technical than me, so I won't definitively say, but we had to change the board software--I think after your last update--so I don't know that it's possible.  Or maybe PNGs aren't a recognized format.  I don't know.  And I'm so busy these days I never have time to experiment with things like this.  Again, hopefully one of the more tech-savvy folks will jump in with a more helpful answer.

Any update on the old girl, Mike? Has she been safely recovered??

They say the wheels of justice turn slowly but surely.  Slowly I'll grant you; not so convinced about the surely.  Lawyer's still working on it.  I'm concerned the thieving party is stalling because they damaged her; can't get a clear answer. At least I have all the fiberglass moulds here.  I really, really don't want to have to start over, though. Anyway, as soon as I know, you'll know.
