A complete set of plans for the Matt Smith's Tardis.
Based on the official plans seen at Doctor Who Experience and Bill Rudloff's measurements.

These look wonderful! Thanks so much for doing these. Several people have asked for plans for this version recently, so they'll definitely get some use.
I've added them to the http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=7902

Plans have been updated with slightly more accurate measurements.
I reduced the outer width of the box by 10 mm and set the walls and doors futher by 5 mm. There are also some small changes to the bevels on the panel insets and roof pitch.

What does the gap in between the front and back panels of the doors represent?
Is it a gap or is it meant to be a light source or something?

hartnell_era_builder

Sorry should have made myself a bit clearer.

I meant the 5mm gap between the front and back part of the doors on the left and right.

I see what you mean now. The doors were constructed using 5mm plywood (the 'gap' you were talking about) sandwiched between the outside and inside stiles of the doors.

hartnell_era_builder

Thank you very much for clearing that up. I was struggling to think what that was.

I dont suppost anyone has any reference or plans for the handles and lamp do they? I cant seem to find accurate plans for those parts anywhere.

dw_1200

Since these are building plans, I decided not to include any detailed drawings of handles, locks, hinges and the lamp because you can buy them online.

If you're making a 3D model, I'd suggest you to use various pictures (there's plenty of them on this forum) as a reference. That's how I modeled mine

I am making a 3D model. Thank you for your advice however I am not very skilled when it comes to modelling handles and locks, in fact I haven't modeled handles at all in my life.
I will do my best to make accurate handles but it will be very hard for me not having much time to do this sort of thing.

@hartnell_era_builder,

I am certain that the handles and locks used for the actual props were simply purchased at a building supply shop for a pound or two at most for the handles and maybe 5 pounds for the lock. Moreover, different varieties of handle appear in different versions and even have been replaced on the same overall version sometimes. So my philosophy is that you find something close at a building supply shop. The chameleon circuit appears to update its parts library based on something like the catalog at such a shop.

Somewhere on this site is profile pics of the door handles. It might be on MVerta's 80's TARDIS thread...

Plans have been once again updated with a few cosmetic changes, the overall dimensions remain the same.

There were some minor calculation mistakes (145 plus 10 does not equal 150).
I've also changed the width of the L-shaped corner post cut-outs and reduced the roof height by 5 mm.
