As identifed here: http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=7920.45, the prop built by This Planet Earth/Simon Nash, and featured extensively in Twice Upon a Time (screenshot reference to be added at a later date) has been given a little bit of an upgrade for Saturday's episode:

Am I going to look silly if I ask what has been upgraded?.. Hang on, the windows are lit here (you can even see the rear light boxes when the door opens) is that it, or is there more?

Seems like they also tinted the glass in the lamp and the top signs to look more yellowy when illuminated, in keeping with how the Series 11-12 prop looks. (Which has precedent, since the Twice Upon A Time variant was modified to have more of a resemblance to the Series 8-10 box.)

Going off the Police Box sign, it looks like it's been painted to be the same colour (or similar) as the series 11-12 box too

Would it be a good idea to put "SPOILERS" in the thread subject title?  Because the simple existence of the prop is essentially one major spoiler.

There is a tag you can activate when you start a topic that will mark the whole topic as spoiler protected.
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,

Oh yes. The little red circle. I hadn't noticed that.

The Police Box signs have also been modified to illuminate.

As for the windows, you can see Jodie and Jo's shadows, as well as the shadow of the door moving against the illumination when it's on the Judoon ship, revealing them to be frosted plastic, back-lit by the lamp inside the prop, rather than the light panels which we've seen illuminating Jodie's TARDIS prop.

A bit poor of the production not to obscure the prop's interior with a CG insert of the Console Room.

I would like to share a funny anecdote about this prop, if I may. Not to insert myself into a story too much, however I think you'll all like this one!

I was at the studios when this episode was being filmed - I'm not employed there or anything, but I sometimes do a little extra work and get to have some peeks. On this particular occasion I was nothing to do with the filming on the day, but I, by this point, recognise a few faces on the crew and, in particular, other extras playing the Judoon.

So there I am being lead across the studio set on the way to the makeup truck at the back. I stop. I stare. Is it possible? Is that the First Doctor's TARDIS I see back on set??????? As any of us would, I completely lost my mind (internally) and began bouncing up and down with excitement. I spent the rest of my time there trying to sneak bits of information out of everyone I talk to, trying to figure out if we have the First Doctor back, etc etc.

Every single person was useless for one specific reason: they couldn't tell the difference.

"Eh?" They'd all say. "It's just the TARDIS!"
"But it's different!" I'd reply.
"No it's not..."
"Yes it is!"
"What's different about it then?"
"It has... a different lamp."
"Um... nah I think you're seeing things."

I had a variation on this conversation multiple times throughout the day, and even started to question myself what I'd seen. Frankly I thought I'd been mistaken, but then the episode aired and it finally, mercifully all clicked into place. I wasn't mad.

Moral of the story is that we are all people with too much time on our hands and to everyone else a blue box is just a blue box  ;D
Isn't it how ironic that we have to think of solutions out of the box, in order to build our boxes a lot of the time?

That's brilliant! Here's my story: After starting a brand new job in 2005 our department had our daily meeting about what was happening, who's on the sick etc. Then my manager read a letter from the BBC saying that they were filming machine gun fire in the studios at the back of the office for Dr Who.
'What studios?!' I blurted out, suddenly coming to life.
'Oh they converted the old LG factory behind us and film Dr Who there. The big double deckers are where the actors have lunch.'
And there it was. A big plain white building about 20 yards away with busses I'd never noticed. And throughout the day, machine gun fire as the good people of the Game Station took on the Daleks. Moral of the tale: Always look around you and be more alert! There's always a blue box around...

Or they could have been deliberately playing it down so as not to spoil the surprise... ;)

Great story though. I would have blown my mind if that was me :D
