I do that all the time.

I'm always looking for paint, or tape, or nails...

Can't find it so I buy another load, then a few weeks later I unearth the original load!

I need to learn to put things away in a tidier fashion.

A place for everything & everything in it's place!

I can't remember the last time I tried to light my box up, it's been a while! I'm ashamed to admit that after one too many last week I decided to give it a go. "What could possibly go wrong?" I thought, happily plugging a rusty plug into the mains.

Happily I'm still here, and nothing caught fire. Even better, it works!



I actually quite like the way the newly tarnished windows light up.

This was in the process as I was going over the box looking for weather damage (there's a lot!) and planning for some repairs, it should be possible... though honestly I still would have preferred to move it inside, like I'd planned a couple of years ago.

I'm debating between going full-Hudolin this time, or reinstating the white windows. Decisions decisions


EDIT: The top signs are somewhat patchy due to the fact that, to save money, I applied the blue graphics onto the rear of my old black signs. It's fully reversible, of course.

Being a bloody Yank, that term always throws me, "garden".  Reflexively, I think of a plot of earth devoted to growing either decorative flowers or edible fruits & veggies.  I have to "process" for a moment before my brain translates "garden" to "yard".  

But I will admit "bottom of the garden" sounds considerably more poetic than "in the back yard".  

Thinking about it, what does "yard" mean in the UK?

My dear Bill, I'd love to be able to answer your question, however, a little gizmo on my console just lit up. It seems the Doctor has read your comment and would like to answer it himself!

A 'yard' to me is somewhere you keep your stuff and there's no greenery!       I dont have a yard, but dad does and has a trailer, scaffolding, wood, sheds, roof tiles, bricks and other bits kicking round!

'Back yard' is a bit different.   To me is a fenced area at back of house, with a bit of a lawn and patio!   I dont have a back yard either as I live on a corner!
