Thanks for posting, i've not seen such a clear image of the full box before.

I do love that design, why can't the 21st century designs match this?

Agreed - Steve - on both counts!

Or indeed why have they never matched an actual metbox...

I've said it before, I'll say it again:  You want to resurrect sci-fi, you talk to Dick Hudolin.  Dr. Who.  Battlestar Galactica.  Stargate.  He did 'em all.
"My dear Litefoot, I've got a lantern and a pair of waders, and possibly the most fearsome piece of hand artillery in all England. What could possibly go wrong?"

I had no idea he worked on Battlestar Galactica. What were his contributions? Does he work with Stoic or ILM or some such? I think they did the design and effects on the RDM series.

At the risk of going off topic Galactica was so good. Not just design wise but the writing, acting, music... all amazing. I think the focus on the drama element over the scifi setting was what really made it stand out. The scifi is so irrelevant you never find out how the engines or other basic tech work, you get that in a first season of most series, at least in part.

A quick Google came up with 2 pretty good hits.  Both of them talk about is work on "Who" so I don't think I'm derailing too badly.  I'd quote Roy Scheider in in "Jaws" and say "I can do whatever I want, I'm the Chief of Police," only I'm much more Barney Fife for the next month or so here.  Anyhow I like the first article best, but the second has more pictures:

I'm generally not envious of people, but if I could be Richard Hudolin...

Or Batman.

The Doctor Who page on Facebook uploaded these photos today to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the TV movie. Thought they might be appreciated here, especially since they're pretty high quality.
