Personally I love the bought together section.

I got the one from Amazon when I was building my TARDIS.  But it will be nice to get an authentic Gardman.

The one from Amazon that Pravus linked to is the one I usually point people to if there are none for less money in my area (which at the moment, there aren't). That electronic candle removes easily with two screws from underneath and leaves a nice round hole for the light to enter through. And if people don't like the "flat" sides (panes, which are plastic) in that lantern, they're easily removed, and can be replaced with curved plastic from something like a 2-litre bottle of soft drink. The bottle is close to the right size, and if a little fudging is needed, the plastic is pliable enough so a little cut and spread should work. (Even if you had to cut out individual "panes" from the bottle and hot glue them in place, those will still have the round pane look of the original.)

Any new sources for the lamp? All the links are defunct or stock is out.

Angelus Lupus

I image searched "round metal garden lantern" and got this right on the top row:

Thanks Angelus. Did that search all night, found nothing. That did it. F' the cost. got 'em

Volpone

There is a certain irony that they decided to skip the Fresnel in 2005 and just buy a cheap, easily available garden lamp.  And now, some 14 years later, said cheap easily available lamp is hard to find.

Hi^^
First: where did you got those ?!
Second, if you're working on the ecleston tardis, i suggest you to scroll around a bit, tho the first thing you'll have to do is cuting the vent section and screw back the the top of it to the lantern.
Soudering rods like you see on this picture will make the prop looking like the ecleson season tardis, how ever if you are looking for a tennant variant, either sauder them to the lampe base or tilt it 45degres.2005TARDISlamp01.jpg

So. Since i couldn't find any more proper lantern, i went for the scratch build. Basicly, it's made of 2 flower pot, 2 1l lemon sirop canister, hot glue, the top of a 10euros garden bird feeder, and a flat chrismas ball. It's unfinished yet, but here is the result so far.  I'm shooting for screen accuracy, so i made the "nipple" but i wont keep it. Also about that, don't be affraid to tell me what's wrong on it.

Does anyone know the actual dimensions of the Tennant lamp? Can't find them anywhere and the picture above is the best I've seen but could do with some plans or measurements, thanks in advance.

Hey there. I've recreated the lampe with a bird feeder that shared a part with the lantern. Here is some mesurements in cm and a link to that bird feeder i used.
The top dish part is 18.5 cm with a 1cm rige inward.
The top cap is 11cm.
