So I was looking at old 1970s basements (you know those wood-panelled, shag-carpetted ones) and had a flash of inspiration: wouldn't that make a cool TARDIS?! The answer is probably not, but I set out to design one anyway because we all know how fun experimentation is. My main thoughts in designing this were these:
* The original secondary console room's design harking back to the past, rather than the future
* Specifically with the Twelfth Doctor in mind, this was designed as sort of his own personal cave, full of music equipment and records and books
* I wanted the room to have this kind of orange haze, with buzzing roundels emitting a yellowish/reddish glow, warm colours
* Wood-panelled everything

I do plan to model it eventually, although I'm on a new computer and have none of my old models, so I'll have to re-learn bits of Blender before I do so.

  I actually laughed out loud at that.     You can't beat that 1970's Rec Room vibe.  Love it.

This is the sort of console room I love... y'know the style that feels lived in like the mcgann or Capaldi with comfy chairs, "I made him say comfy chairs!"  ;) , bookshelves, guitars, posters, paintings.. y'know the type of room you could live in

Ha! "That 70's Console room!" I love it! It could use more avocado green for a more authentic feel. I would love to see what things you would incorporate into the console for this one. Lovely work :)
