(I hope that "mistake" in that one photo was easily rectified.)

Unfortunately it was like that the entire event. I'd forgotten I had hidden away some of the panels and got to the event (a 4 hour drive) to realise mid-build that some sections were missing - oops!

Dino.
P. S. I would love to get a backdrop like that; from the material it appears to be made from I think it would either make a great wall-hanger... or a great shower curtain! ;D

It is indeed close to shower curtain material, but very sturdy. The colour is off, because I'm an idiot and didn't get CYMK correct but its holding up well.

Well, at least this is good news - just mislaid panels, and not damaged items. (Situations like this are easily explained to inquisitive event-goers as "parts under repair, but not finished in time". At least it works in the living history world when people would ask us where our big 4-inch howitzer was if we decided not to bring it.)

Idiot? (No... I won't quote the dialogue from "Kinda" again. ;) ;D) While that may be a bit harsh on yourself, the Doctor has on occasion called himself an idiot. (Actually, I think there may be a little idiot in everyone. I've certainly got my fair share of it... and then some! ;D ;D ;D)

And my stanky old wizzard eyes think the color looks pretty decent: pale grey wall with slightly yellowish roundels; that's just about perfect for the Season 15 - 26 console room. So I'd say you'd done a fine job with that backdrop.

The console didn't make too many trips out last year but here's one from August at The Forge Mill's "Day of the Daleks" event.

In an attempt to give this thread some content, because I'm unable to keep things updated to save my life, I thought why not gather some old shots of the console together that might not have been seen before... so...

Back in 2019, the console attended the Cambridge Comic Con.... unfortunately it didn't do so well.

Hey David,

Thanks for posting.
I love pics showing cosplayers interacting with props.

Such a shame the event wasn't well attended.
I always feel sorry for the organisers that all their hard work has led to a poor result.

But local events can be hit or miss,as I'm sure you know.

The London & Birmingham comicons are always large & well attended, but I have been to regional events that were a bit disappointing.

I was able to walk round the whole event in an hour or so, & was bored & went home after a couple of hours.

Nevertheless, your console looks amazing as always!!

Regards,

Russell

I think I first saw this console online before joining the TARDIS Builders and I've always been a fan. Seeing the little changes over time is really interesting.

I speak to you from the final days of Gallifrey. I am the past you have forgotten. You are the future I will not live to see...

The tank-top the blue-haired girl is wearing may have replaced Zoe's sparkly jumpsuit as my favorite console photo.

Hi all! I brought the console along to the Utopia 2021 event this weekend, at Wyboston Lakes, Bedford. Some snaps below:

Its been a little quiet here for this "desktop theme" since creating the Hartnell version, but that isn't to say its not been in use - its been around a few times!
