The 'Top Light' is baffling me, but i have fund these 2 gems on eBay... Any thoughts?

I would definitely go for the Harbor wall lantern. It's much closer to an actual fresnel lens.

The light is definitely a pain in the butt.  I went through about 6 iterations before I got to where mine is now.  On the plus side, it's about the easiest thing to swap out, assuming you build your roof that way.  If it is integrated into the roof structure, it's a bit tricky, but if it is just attached to the roof you can change it if you're not happy.

Looking great! It's always a joy to see people bringing different ideas to this.
I'm thinking I should get me one of those pocket screw jigs.
I'm really liking those window frames. :)
Do be sure and plan some ventilation to avoid damp build-up.

Trying out some colours for the old girl now...
I've gone with 'off the shelf' paint from Crupinol, IRIS Blue. It goes on quite light, but then dries to a darker shade. Nice!
I think the lighter shade of garden paint looks too Baker/McCoy blue? Correct me if i'm wrong..
I also have a Thompson 10 Year Roof Seal paint that looks awesome over the Iris Blue, which gives my Police Box the Eccleston/Tennant look. However, i have just purchased a top light which has been discussed on the Workshop forum. It's a Whittiker style lamp, which will go well with my Whittiker style windows!

Despite the 20 day gap since my last post, i have been busy in my garage! Further to this i have been surfing Tardis Builders.com for all my information needs.
Well... It's been all about the weather recently, which means it's all about the painting! I'm now on my second tin of Thompson's 10 Year Roof Seal and my third tin of Iris Blue Cuprinol. As my Police Box is staying outside, i want no part of the wood untreated and painted. All the blue parts (for which there is many) have had a least 2 coats of paint, so far. I had started to paint the inside portions of the Tardis with the 10 Year Roof Seal. I'm leaving nothing to chance.
I have decided that i will be purchasing a tin of the Isoflex Liquid Rubber for the floor inside and on the roof. I haven't been as clever to make an angled roof (maybe next time). My wood working skills are limited, so i have a flat box roof. Also i want to get my build done by the spring!

Very nice! I'm especially interested to see how the windows turn out with the frames being as thick as they are. It will no doubt be a veritable fortress, strong enough to hold out against the Daleks and hopefully the weather as well!

Hey TT, i'm building a sturdy build to double up as a garden shed type-of-monument. I've gone in a slightly different direction for the windows and 'Pull To Open' door, (which doesn't actually open) i want the old girl to look meaty and strong! It's a hybrid build, with a coloring of Eccleston/Tennant with windows and top light (which arrives today) of the new Whittaker style.
Hopefully the weather will hold off this weekend... i'd like to try put her together!

Are you going with a flat roof or a pitched roof? One of the things I'm worried about on my project is standing water while I'm camping but mine will be outside for a couple weeks a year, this is more of a permanent fixture and I would think that snow and standing water would be more of a concern for you.

Looking good man,  a nice beefy garden build.  I always love the look of a TARDIS in a garden setting.

Well now i'm stuck!!!
I'm at the Top Sign part of by build... and this proves to be the most stressful.
I've cut out a 4" X 34" rectangle from a 6" X 42" piece of timber. This will be the frame of my top sign.
My intention is to router out a groove a .5" groove around the insert which will allow my perspex to be placed inside like a photo in a picture frame.
i have ordered 5" X 35" perspex in clear at 2mm thickness and doubled this up 5" X 35" white frosted perspex at 3mm.
The idea is to sandwich by Police Box sign between both sets of perspex.
All i need now is a company to print my black vinyl sign, with cut out lettering... I NEED HELP???
Where can i get this done???

do you have any local sign shops or graphic shops?   Those will be able to take care of those graphics for you.  That is where I got mine done both times.   The PDF's for whatever are on the forum, Just give them a call, email them the PDF and they should be able to knock that out for you.

IT'S ARRIVED... IT'S ARRIVED!!! Now all it needs is a little redesigning... and it should look great!

That lantern is super cool. I did a generic Amazon search for oil lanterns and there are a ton of really cool designs. I may scrap accuracy and just pick one that I think is really cool for my build.
