Hi,

Its too cold to build TARDISes in the workshop at the moment, so I've been playing indoors again...

Whilst I'm not exactly a massive fan of everything we've seen so far of Series 11, one thing I absolutely adore is the new signature tune and the opening titles. So I thought I'd have a play.

I managed to edit together the regular opening sequence with the closing theme from The Woman Who Fell To Earth (chopping it about so it roughly fits the usual pattern of the theme tune). I had to do a lot of chopping about and dialling down to take out some dialogue over the opening of the middle eight section (including overlaying the opening few middle eight notes from the original Delia Darbyshire version).

Some of the video transitions are not as fluid as I would have liked them to be, but i'm kind of hamstrung with the available source material...

Anywho...

Wow I like that....very nice cut of the new music.

So I had another bash at making this video; however this time I was able to make it a lot cleaner by using the 5.1 mixes of the theme from The Woman Who Fell To Earth and The Ghost Monument; as well as editing together the new Series 11 Blu Ray menu footage with the opening titles from the Ghost Monument to make a clean version of the new title sequence...

What can I say, it's been snowing here and i've been bored...

anywho, here's a latest version (for those that are interested...).

I have to admit the Doctor Who Theme is one of my favourite pieces of music and whilst I've not really been blown away by the last series of the show, I have to say the current version of the theme is one thing they really have got on the nail! Nothing beats Delia's version; however this one is probably my second favourite version.

You posted it at 1:47pm. I tried viewing it at 2:00pm and YouTube have removed it already. You might want to upload to Vimeo again.

The link seems to be working again for me; however it wouldn't surprise me if it has been blocked.

I'll have another go with Vimeo at some point...
