I am making a TARDIS (well, two sides really!) in my daughters bedroom - converting an old airing cupboard / boiler cupboard...

Thanks Chris. She is over the moon with it. She has nothing else in the bedroom at the moment so we put a matress on the floor so she could sleep in there the first night last night until we can build her high sleepr bed and she said it looks even better looking up from the floor at it - I tried it too and she's right - try it with all your TARDISes - look up at it from a corner angle from the floor (putting TARDIS in bedroom first is optional)!   Its awesome!

Will take a camera shot later today from this angle!

Cheers Dale. I have now got a price for a signwriting shop to do me 2 POLICE (PUBLIC CALL) BOX sticky back plastic signs for £7.50 per side which I will stick onto my Perspex for the top two signs ... hoping to get that today - need to take my Gill Sans font along on my floppy disk to him... not sure if I want black sticky back plastic or navy blue?!

Anyone any ideas on this?

Should have made the actual top box bits sometime next week. Hopefully get the skirts done this weekend.

Will publish some start to finish pics here soon.

Cheers guys.

OK, now everything here and with my work has normalised a bit, I can turn my attention once again to the AC TARDIS.

I have managed to finish off the "top boxes" and buy some strip lights ... a sneak preview (with daughter inside holding up lights) ....

All done now ... final pic posted in first message of this topic. 5 more "final" pictures added on Page 4 of my website (links as above).

May I take this time to thank all you guys for the hints you have given me and best of luck with all your projects. I will stop by from time to time to see what other people are doing, and sometime in the future (perhaps later this summer), I will start to think of making a proper outdoor full size TARDIS for my Garden Shed so I guess I will be back then also ...

In the mean time, have fun, and happy building,

Steve
