I need a shot of the Capaldi Tardis looking on it dead-on.
Like the Chase Hartnell shot but with the 2017 TARDIS. or 2014.

also does this help i looked into the plans and figured the drawing was off by abit so i reworked it if you haven't started yet i believe this may help2005 and 2017 TARDIS heights.jpg

48 inches does not equal four feet nine inches! If you mean 48", then this is 1219.2 mm - which is way too narrow for the width of this version of the box.

This Planet Earth state that the width of their replica Capaldi Tardis' base is 1500 mm (59.055 inches). This would mean that the actual box is something like 1360 mm (which tallies with the measured width of 1365 mm (outside edge of corner-post to outside edge of corner-post)).

boxman550

dammit google measurements XD im bad with maths so used google to help me figure it out

boxman550

reworked it abit is this better?2005 and 2017 TARDIS heights.jpgrealistic measure.jpg all i know is the box is 10ft 2 tall and the width is 4ft9 i know what thisplanetearth says but they forget to realise the series 5 series 7 and series 10 box's were all built to different designs im basing mine partially off there measurements but also off of reference images judging by capaldi's height and he's 6ft tall

The width of 1365 mm was measured by me at Cardiff (and I know for a fact that This Planet Earth measured the actual Tennant and Capaldi props as well).  :)

I would like to clarify which Capaldi prop they measured? I had a look at their website... Under Smith/Capaldi tab it says "2010 Onwards", however we had 3 different props since 2010 ???

i checked my measurements to thisplanetearths mine are literally off by around an inch or 2 which im fine with with my measurements considering capaldi still looks in place to me and i belive its the height thisplanetearths height is 10ft4 mine was 10ft 2 i belive my base or roof may be a tad to short
and the width is 4 ft 9 on theres and mine

Well, 123 inches doesn't equal 10 feet 2 inches, it equals ten feet three inches!  :)

Well, if you read Will Brook's essay on the subject, it is a bit more complicated than the simple assertion that there were three props since 2010 (see http://www.medium.com/tardis-history). In essence though - apart from minor differences such as the thickness of the window frames and the depths of the recessed panels - the later Smith/Capaldi boxes all share the same basic dimensions and are readily distinguishable from the earlier Eccleston/Tennant boxes by their thicker corner-posts.

The width of 1365 mm (outside edge of corner-post to outside edge of corner-post) comes from the later wider corner-posted Tardis with the "Clara floral decorations" on it - what Will Brooks calls "Tardis G" - i.e., the final box of that design to be built.

I'm reliably told that what Will Brooks calls "Tardises E and F" are all the same width as "Tardis G" though, when I saw them (i.e., when I saw "Tardises E and F"), "Tardis F" had no roof as this had been removed for the filming of the sequence where the cast are lowered from the Testimony's ship in "Twice Upon A Time". You can see the detached roof from "Tardis F" in this picture:

No they aren't the same: This Planet Earth's website states that the width (of the base) is 1500mm which equals 4 feet eleven inches.

However since - by his own admission - T@rdisman550 isn't bothered whether his box matches what has actually been measured, it doesn't really matter....

(Edited to clarify that the box with the "Clara floral decorations" on it is what Will Brooks terms "Tardis G".)
