After seeing last night's episode I couldn't wait to give this a go - how hard can it be? ;)

I usually keep a few sheets of parchment paper lying around for projects like this. I began by tearing the paper into roughly the same shape as the original, and started sketching out the lettering.

More updates soon.

I added more tea to the parchment using a paintbrush then traced around the title with a brown ballpoint pen. I also curled some of the edges up slightly, to give that ancient, aged effect.

Now I just need to add the rest of the text - this could take a while. ;D

Almost there now.

As with the title, I sketched out the lettering in pencil then traced over it with a brown pen. To finish off I gave the paper another "coat" of tea staining.

Once the tea dries, I'll get some photos of the finished prop for you all.

At the request of Cardinal Hordriss, I had a go at turning my Veritas prop into a printout for anyone who wants to make their own.

Unfortunately, my scanner doesn't seem to be working properly, so my only option was to take a high-res photo of the prop and edit it to correct the perspective and remove as much of the background as I could with my limited skill. As you can see, it's nowhere near perfect, but I'm hoping it will still turn out okay once printed and tea-stained.

Basically, if anyone does want to use this, you will need to download the image and print it at 1:1 scale, then rip the edges to give it that appropriately ancient look.
